The number of photos on R&R is increasing, they must still be uploading

Did the Sport today. The wind was ridiculous. Did it in 26:00.03, so slower than you lot but still pleased that I made it around all 5 stages, first time ive done anything like that and the stages were miles harder than anything I’ve ever ridden before

I now have 4 bleed blocks that could be used (I.e they fit in the calliper)

The difference in thickness between them all is a maximum of 0.7mm.

The one I used yesterday is the thickest one so using a thinner one might help, however the Epic Bleed Solutions one is the same thickness as the matching shape one from the SRAM kit

Mine leaked a bit too, I end up leaving the bottom open and unscrewing the top first. I’ve got the new ones with the S4 caliper that uses the Bleeding Edge tool so the port can be closed without removing it.

Yeah I read about the bleeding edge thing, looks like Canyon used some older ones on my bike though

So you’re expecting some blokes on a forum to know more that the company who designed and developed them – then released a video guide on the bleeding process.

Ok, probably best to take them to a shop.

I’m hoping that given the size of the forum and the fact that some people are bike mechanics someone might have some tricks they’d share.

You clearly have an issue with my posting of this question so why don’t you just back slowly out of the thread.

    3 tips:

    1. Buy some rockshox syringes/use the ones that came with a reverb if you have some knocking about. They fit much better.
    2. You have to remove the caliper from the frame and twist it all about to get the caliper bled right, this is the usual cause of a duff bleed IMHO. They trap air like a balloon.
    3. Once done with the caliper, the lever will finalise with a bit of suction and a few flicks of the lever. A little positive pressure to get the master cylinder full, and then back off slightly to remove or oil will go everywhere!

Cheers. I don’t have any Reverb syringes. I’ll try removing the calliper next time and give a bit more attention to the lever end of things.

If fluid loss is just in lever, can you not top it up?

I’m fairly sure if I remove the bleed screw now more fluid will leak out

You could always watch the SRAM guide to bleeding guide brakes by SRAM.

I’ve watched lots of videos and read lots of instructions. In the official SRAM one on YouTube nothing leaks out of either the calliper or the lever when they remove the syringes, that doesn’t happen for me!

I’m also 178cm and I have M Race. Given that the Race version is supposed to be bigger than the non-race version I’d be a little worried a M non-race would be a little short in reach/TT. My M Race doesn’t seem that long… Just about right.

Had a 2014 & a 2015 Sensor Elite when on holiday in NZ. Really liked them, I also got a lot of pedal strikes too

The RedBull TV website isn’t great, even on the day the only way to find it before it is on is via the calendar. I can never seem to find them via the Discover or Channels.

other users reviews on here say otherwise RE KTM.

I’ve only used it on one 3 day trip so far. Would be a shame if it doesn’t hold up

After seeing a thread about it on here I got one of these: http://www.ktmbikes.eu/ktm-bikes/eshop/4-1-CYCLING-ACCESSORIES/0/5/1023-KTM-Saddle-Bag-Tour-XL-18L

Worked really well, feels pretty sturdy, like it will last awhile.

Look at the properties of a video file from your GoPro and one of the ones that won’t play. That will probably show you that they are different resolutions and bit rates (if yours was the basic one and his a Black edition)

Your laptop probably isn’t good enough to play the 4k files from the Hero4 Black

Currently in week 6 of having a fractured/cracked finger, where the tendon attaches. Not riding is killing me! Hoping the OT says I can move to a night time only splint when I go see them tomorrow.

Get down to Bispham, The paths down to the beach are slightly steep, they’ve probably not been resurfaced in years so will be pretty torn up. You might get 5 seconds of gnar!

There isn’t any gnar down here in Wimbledon either. The common and Richmond park are nice enough for a short pootle around. There’s only one or two bits that go downhill enough off road to even create any excitement. My GF actually holds the QOM on one.

I stopped using sandisk cards after getting a lot of failed clips. Bought Lexar ones instead. You probably can’t save the corrupted clips.

Unless it’s really bright sunshine you’ll need to stop capping the ISO. Thats pretty much the only thing you can do with photos.

I have the 650B Team FS and use an 18″, I’m about 5’8″/5’9″. 18″ would be a bit small for him I think.

A bit of strong chord looped through the hinge pin and tied to something else suffices as a tether.

As for the knock off mounts, apart from the GoPro logo there is no noticeable difference between my official and knock off chest mount. I used it MTBing, skiing and cliff jumping, no breakages or lost cameras.

K-edge do a seat mount that attaches to the seat rails.

As for the chest mount, the official one (or the clones that are 99% the same) doesn’t exactly weigh much!

The first time I went the shop wasn’t very helpful, they had run out of maps and the guy who prints the maps was on holiday. I’m not sure why someone else couldn’t print some!

The second time my friend and I used Trailforks to find some of the different sections. Easier to use than Strava.

£2 for 4 hrs or £4 all day. Car park could be full by 10:30 as the forecast is pretty good, might not be though.

1x Red, 1x Blue and 1x tiny Green.

Cafe in the visitor centre, the outdoor little cafe is closed now I think.

As scuttler says, most of the best action stills on GoPros come from using the timelapse mode.

I’m going with my GF, she can manage blues and we were looking for something a bit different than Swinley (been a lot). I was looking for something a bit longer too.

How tame is it? our local loop is around Richmond park, if it’s just as tame as that then we might as well save the drive and do a couple of loops of the park.

Why is everyone being an arse?

The Adams Family is a brilliant one to have a go at beasting yourself on top to bottom. Just had a look for you and it’s called ‘Adams Family full’. False Teeth is another good one, along with Beginning Of The End and Abel. Then there’s one called ‘Nasty bwich climb’ for your climb. Job done.

    Thank you.

I didn’t want to be rude, but yes some people do seem to be overly arsy.

So why not compare each others strava over a pint?

Comparing segments in strava is a complete PITA.

Hence why some nice fellow made http://www.matesrace.co.uk/

    geuben

iolo, because he wants to use http://www.matesrace.co.uk/ to group a few segments before they go and aren’t familiar with CyB.

I can’t help I’m afraid. Only ridden it once with Strava and found that most stopping points interrupted segments. Tricky one.

    Correct. Was that not clear?

We will be riding the marked routes, just wanted to pick a few segments to add another competitive edge to the trip. No doubt we won’t actually know when were on one of the selected segments and will only compare results at the end of the weekend.

Do you not just batter down trails and see who gets to the bottom first?

Crashes aside that’ll be the one who starts first usually[/quote]

This really. None of us are skilled enough to make a safe overtake!

I meant the shimano bb that comes with the new cranks fits the bike fine. I ditched he FSA one as it was worn, expensive to replace and got very poor reviews.

The front mech is a direct mount yes, there is a small amount of vertical adjustment offered but the elongated mounting hole. However mine was already as low as it would go with the old cranks.

    Are you stalking me!?

I made pretty much this exact post a few weeks ago..on a different forum!

    I just switched to an M675 38/24T.

It fits fine with the BB that’s included in that set.

I noticed a big difference in ratios too.

    Things to look out for:

    1) Chain length, I removed a whole link as it was too long, 1 whole link is 3 teeth so going from a 27 to a 24 makes sense.

    2) Front mech height. The direct mount front mech wont really go low enough and I am experiencing some chain rub and the extremes of the gearing. I have borrowed a low clamp mech from a friend to see if it will fit and if it will make any difference, not tried yet though

    3) Getting the BB off might be hard, my torque wrench goes to 100Nm and that wasn’t enough to get it off, it’s only supposed to be on at 40-50Nm. I had to buy a breaker bar in the end.

    Team or Pro?

If it’s the Team then it’s a very similar setup only it has an X7 mech rather than an X5. I can’t see from the photos if its a direct or a post/clamp mount though. Mines a direct, I don’t know if that makes any difference though.

The BB on mine (and the Team 29er) is a ‘FSA Mega Exo 68mm Shell’

I think you can only get the issues that have come out since you subscribed. To get older ones you can download them from here and then upload them to Google Play Books.
