    sugdenr:

It’s ‘ghetto’ tubeless and as such you use the inner tube as rim tape and valve…

I ride with someone who has a mukluk and whilst I do ‘get’ the principal of these bikes I don’t get the mudguards off either of them above. It looks like they were stolen off someone’s car…

I would be embarrassed to list each item but i’m a total knacker with money and since November last year have allowed about £13K to slip through my fingers, it started when I bought a Cube Stereo Race and it’s only stopped now but have sold some stuff off, but I’m now reducing my fleet as I just don’t get the time to ride. The Niner Air 9 and the Cube Peleton are for sale, £1400 and £700 respectively..

before I went full tubeless I used 20″ inners, I would be hesitant using 24″ personally..

I wouldn’t use gaffer tape, just split the inner down the seam after you’ve mounted it to the rim and ensure you have equal amount wrapped over rim each side. After you’ve mounted the tyre trim the excess with kraft knife and off you go. I had less ‘burping’ on ghetto tubeless than I did on proper tubeless

I have a Raptor 14 and is a fantastic piece of kit, full of innovative features and well put together.

Lots of dickedds pissing about on the freeride park at the end, genereally running the wrong way back up the hills, over blind hills and not wearing helmets.

I think you will need a different mech, narrower chain IIRC

A colleague of mine was told the same drivel by Audi, I regularly tow a Horsebox with my measly 128BHP 2009 Toyota Avensis estate loaded up with horsey stuff and people, never had a problem. If you had an issue with your car and they pulled out the ‘you’ve been towing’ trump card I’d happily have it out with them, just Germans wanting to protect their premium marque from niggles by over engineering a solution that isn’t needed.

AVOID the racing ralphs, great grip on the trails but a pig to seat tubeless and delicate in 29er form

I’ve got Maxxis UST Ardent front and Crossmark rear and they are tight (not impossible) to get onto my Stans ZTR rims but they seated beautifully and got them pumped up with a track pump instead of usual Co2 inflator.

I had same problem a few year ago and HAD to get data off a lap top. I sent my HD to http://www.fields-data-recovery.co.uk/ and they recovered everything I wanted, great service, three day turnaround but cost £350 for the pleasure.

I then went out and bought a mac, an external hard drive and have never had a problem with computers since, no viruses, no re-boots and no of the crap that comes with windoze.

    After buying this:

    I decided to buy this:

And I love it, Trek Rumblefish 2 and it’s a cracker, so much so I’ve put the Niner up for sale.

I’ve upgraded the brakes to hope M4’s and put Hope Evo/Stans ZTR hoops on it, found the Bontrager rims quite weak. Otherwise a great bike.

I’ve bought on of THESE from Winstanleys and I’m very impressed with it. I have an expensive Snap on Digital one and the Giant one reads impressively close to the calibrated Snap on one..

Unfortunately their service of late has been less impressive….. I wish they’d spend more time building wheels than showing off…

They are on Martland Park, pass the JJB Depot on your left and at the top you can turn left or right at a junction, turn right and there are some new units on the next left and the unit is on the right as you turn in. DO NOT follow signs for HJ Heinz as it is near the warehouse NOT their factory, their factory is within a few yards but a three mile journey by road due to access issues.

The service is great there too, open 9-5 the shop isn’t huge but they will pull anything out of the warehouse for you and build it.

I have a four month old Niner Air 9 which is solid, I’m 120Kg and it handles everything thrown at it, that said I’m loving my Rumblefish 2 more and may well sell the Niner, looking around £1600 with X9 build, Hope X2’s etc etc….

as you ride the red route around the top part of the quarry, as you climb around the very top which you can look deep into the quarry you will see a sharp sandstone climb about 50 ft long, to the right are boulders and if you look to the left as it levels out there is a break in the left and side enbankment, that leads to the offical link but it saves you going down to go back up!

    Hope this is clear!

He deserves his status for using just about the heaviest ‘non’ jump bike ever. Harley’s are traditionally used by split personality accountants who want to look ‘sick’ at the weekends by wearing leather chaps and tassles on their bars, it’s not the best or easiest bike to jump on.

I’d like to see Danny Macaskill emulate some of his tricks on a 35kg DH bike, that may be somewhere in the same league as Evil……

Agree with Junkyard, it may just be better use of the interviewers time to see everyone in one hit as opposed to over several occasions, it’s easier to compare all candidates when you’ve seen them back to back, this may work in your favour if you stand out enough

I only use CRC’s, Wiggle’s etc if they have stock and my LBS can’t get it quickly, I can’t be bothered waiting for the box to be delivered (when I won’t be in anyway) and I’d rather touchy feely than support a large tin box warehouse outfit who don’t support anything other than their own race teams…

Assuming such a pittance of details means she maybe didn’t cause the accident but didn’t stop and respond as she is obliged to….???

    Silverfish distribute them now.

I had ‘The ones’ on my Cube Stereo and all way through a muddy winter they were exemplary, when I sold it and bought a Rumblefish 29er I bought Hope M4’s to replace the elixir’s and they don’t hold a candle to the “the ones’, they’re good but the Formula are awesome, loads of stopping power, feel and easy to work with. SOme after market pads don’t work too well, I had some superstars pads that didn’t fit, too thick but a few strokes of a file and they’re in.

I’m booked in this afternoon to organise a seeing to. Not worried about the pain, more about the indignity of pissing myself, shooting my last load on the table or having a tent peg moment. I will be making specific requests that all of the medical staff look like this to prevent a trouser accident.

Once the procedure is confirmed a success I can join the SAS (Saturdays and Sundays) AKA The Territorial Army as a bona fide blank firer…

I’m with http://www.evanscycles.com/insurance as I’m in same situation. I’ve got £6K worth of bikes and they’re insured on their own, I’ve had the misfortune to make a claim and they were quick to pay up. It covers your bikes when on roof rack or tow bar mounted bike rack (which mine was stolen from) and even with a claim my payment is about £48 a month to insure them.

general rule of thumb is you’ll pay 10% a year for the value of your bikes.

My bike that was stolen was a Specialized FSR XC and they offered to replace it but I wanted to put the money to something more expensive and they knocked 18% off as they said they get the bikes trade price, it didn’t bother me as I got 20% off when I bought the bike so I got back full value for a 12 month old bike.

@10PMIX mount your camera upside down on the chest mount, go into the settings and when you see ‘UP’ click the shutter button to turn it to ‘UPD’ and it will film upside down, this then means you can level up the camera easier as it is now ‘under slung’….

I’m about to sell my GoPro as the hours of editing just bores me to bits! Plus I crashed and landed on my chest mount and whilst the camera was fine my ribs took the force as the camera didn’t squash……hurt a lot!

I’m serving a 9 month written warning for a comment I put on FB whilst staying away in a hotel with my fellow sales colleagues, I used my own phone in my own time and merely commented on having a nice meal, a good laugh with my colleagues who were a good bunch.

Some jealous non dynamic sh*t stirring unambitious office mouth piece (via the help of an FB ‘friend’) got wind of it, printed it off and shoved it under the nose of MD. I was roasted and went through a disciplinary and had the company’s ‘Internet acceptable use policy’ shoved up my nose.

I sought legal advice from a well known employment lawyer who practically fell off his chair and his initial reaction was to tell them to go an eff off but in the interests of job preservation I took it on the chin, grovelled and let it run out of steam within a few days.

I think they allow internal people to view anything (but monitored) during lunch breaks) but if I had a company employing 300 people like I work for I’d ban it too. I would also wouldn’t try and control what is said out of hours.

I’m thinking of selling my Toyota Avensis T Spirit Tourer, on the basis of the RRP of the parts it will start looking like this:

    Wheels and Tyres RRP £1000
    Engine RRP £6500
Replacement drivers mirror, heated and adjustable £470
    blah blah blah
I love it like a child
I need to get a life
I need to put myself in the eyes of a prospective buyer
I need to be realistic about the price

Adding up the sum of my parts I will pitch the price of my car at a very realistic £127,456 but will post it for £25.

    Paypal only please
