Are they keeping it 26 for 2014?

The malverns are only 30ish minutes away by car, thats what id do. I lived in malvern for a few years, not familiar with evesham trails though?

With the malverns its pretty much follow ya nose, on classic trails, not a great deal of navigation required. Im guessing an evesham door to door ride would include lots of stop start looking at maps.

He did, he said when it went into the twisty stuff it was unresponsive, just not as much fun.

I really like 29ers, but am thinking about the 27.5 5 myself, after what he said. Id defo hire one for a full day ride first though.

My mate went on an orange trade demo day type of thing. He said he found the 29 to be not a pleasurable riding experience, but loved the 27.5. Its a cliche, but he said it had the best attributes of the 26, and the 29er combined. He enjoyed it more than the 26er 5.

Don’t agree, my lad is 4 and has just about learnt to ride a bike after using stabilisers for 6 months, he was not interested in his balance bike one bit! As soon as he got a hotrock with stabilisers he loved it. I reckon in the next week he will have stabiliser free riding cracked.

I didnt actually see a ghost, but whilst at my mum and dads house, when on christmas leave from the raf we were sat in the living room watching tv, the living room curtains decided to open them selves. They were heavy curtains, fully drawn in, and there was no breeze etc etc.
When it happened it actually looked like the curtains were creased up in the middle a little, as if held by a pair of hands!
    Unexplainable!

I can’t remember the stength of deet I used in India , I think it was about 85%, I was trekking through the forests , and the Himalayan foothills, So got scratched to death, the deet didn’t cause a problem in the scratches and cuts.

I spent 5 weeks in India and never got bitten once, the others I travelled with were covered in bites, we all had various deets, mine was the strongest. I know you said you tried deet, bit what strength was it? Go for the strongest you can get, not the pish they sell in boots etc etc…

I’ve read a few bike reviews recently, that have said how noticeable the 650b size is. I know alot don’t agree with that.
The Saracen zen for example in mbuk this month.

It’s just a thought , I’m thinking about an upgrade and wondered if anyone had tried it. I have heard somewhere that Brant has done this.

We had a posh pig roast, it went down a treat, much better than a stuffy sit down meal imo.

If iwent to a wedding and the main meal was a good quality bbq, id be well happy.

Good luck and enjoy the day.

2 and 3 I agree with, 1 is not so cut and dried. The guy was a known gangster, involved in serious crime, i have no knowledge about law, but does a person like that have a right to rights?

Edit – but thats more about the guy who was killed, Im interested about copper, was he right, but does our overly ‘pc’ world prevent anyone from admitting this in public?
Was he right shoot, buf do it in a controlled manner?
Was he wrong to shoot full stop?

I know the question is a bit ambiguous, but its a post pub, musing more than anything.

Mmmmmm, no comment on that one . 😉

The whole reason I asked is that when I first heard the story I thought, great another **** gone from our streets, all good! But then I thought hangon, the police cant just go shooting people like that, what next? We will be like the usa soon. Then the lying etc etc, … not good

As mentioned above, I have no worries about a career crim being shot, but I worry about the ‘gungho’ness of our police.

    geologist

I dont think there was any doubt he was a crim, my question was your opinions on the courts decision about the copper.

    geologist
    Free Member

Well he was a well known ‘gangster’ going to steal drugs from another gang, and he was defo guilty of criminal activity, according to police intel!

    geologist
    Free Member

Yeah, I sort of agree and yet disagree, I was done for a crime I didnt commit, so ive experienced police lying first hand. But as said above the guy was a career crim. Should we ignore the coppers “misjudgment”, or should he be prosecuted.
Its not like the the victim was maybe guilty of criminal activity, he was a scumbag, but can the copper be allowed to walk our streets armed, with a twitchey trigger finger?

Obviously we dont have all the info the courts have, but this is an open discussion forum, we can only work onthe info we have. How many discussions on the war against terror has there been here, we dont know 1/100th of the things that are involved! We only have the info we are given in the news

Im bored with their set already, the crowd look bored too. Its amazing what a bit of radio 1 hype can do. Id rather be watching wiley 😉

Amazing bands out there at the moment with jaw dropping sets, Muse for example, or even example, who had the crowd bouncing solidly for every song, and they have this lot headlining 🙁

I know they are influential, and pivotal in their day, but for the love of god, let them retire!

Monkeys for me, i was born in Doncaster, but lived in and around sheffield my formative years, so s yorks through and through. I live in Shropshire now, which is great, but the monkeys make me think of home. Portsihead are great, but my vote goes to the monkeys, defo a great show tonight from them.

Edit – formative years being adult formative, ie getting married, , leaving the armed forces. Becoming a civi, having my son, etc etc, Go Sheffield childrens hospital 🙂

Edit 2- didnt see the Portsihead set, so cant comment, im sure it was great,

I saw the wedding present whilst I was at uni in 1995, they played my freshers week. They were crap. I follow music so I know who wiley is, not my cup of tea, but, equally as sh*te as the wedding present.

The wedding present havent stayed niche out of choice, I suspect that they would give anything to be as successful as wiley, or mumford and sons, or whatever successful bands you success haters hate. But unfortunately they are not great, thats why they havent made it.

I bet you hate microsoft, starbucks, and even Tesco! Ill give ya Tesco 😉

Ps, do ya ride a fatbike, and did ya go to newcastle uni in the mid 90’s, a guy in my corridor was a massive wedding present fan, and a biker.

I did the same with cyclocross. I bought a cx bike so i could mix it up abit and ride something different, but whenever I rode it, I was wishing I was on my mtb!

It didnt get me any fitter, was slower on the dh, not as much fun, and was generally Very uncomfortable. Lesson learnt for me.

Thats like comparing a family day out karting, to a day on a F1 experience. Not the same really!

If you compare the blue route to other blue routes, its head and shoulders above any others, maybe GT blue is slightly more fun. As said above if you hit it hard, you need to have your wits about you, you cant saY that about many blues. True that the red bits arent really red, but then neither is cannock, in fact i dont see the difference between the 2 places in difficulty, that is a testament to cardinham. (Obviously not the black sections at cannock )
