Cables aren’t enclosed in this type of ship. Makes fault finding, and the endless running in and out if them easier! fitted some of them 🙂

The malverns are the worst place for this, my mate got a dog lead around his neck during one ride! A walker though it would be a good idea to lassoo a cyclist , almost killed him! Police didn’t give a sh* t

140 revs on mine, I think 150 would really effect its climbing ability.

140 work well, but I wouldnt want anymore.

EDIT – for 1 mile away you need good kit. The forum above has exceptional kit for sale, but by the sound of it you are not sure what will suit you, so you need to try it out for yourself, as with a bike purchase.

This is the bear minimum you want. Im a bit of a spotter (wildlife), but dont tell anyone!

    http://www.at-infocus.co.uk/opticron.html#telescopes

Choose the Opticron GS665, its the best ‘budget’ wildlife spotting scope on the market. As with bikes its worth going to a shop and trying them first.

As a 16 year old, I couldnt quite aford the Ascent Ex, I had the Ascent (the white one with black paint splatter), got the train from Doncaster to Grantham to collect it.
I blinged it up with pink Onza bar ends 🙂

edit – and despite the thousands I have spent on new bikes as an adult in the last 20 years, I would say I had more fun, and rode many ,many more miles on my trusty DB Ascent, than any other bike. Ahhh good times 🙂

    IMO excellent!

We bought one in 2004, and have used it every year since for our annual trip to torridon/Applecross area.

It has been watertight, and has withstood some severe winds. Our 2 favoutite campsites are on the coast and very exposed.

UNTILL ! This year it leaked for the very first time. Not bad for for an 8 year old 90 quid tent though. Needless to say, we are going to get another one in the next few weeks.

EDIT We had a big 4 man tent, and I could erect it myself. It was’nt easy but I did do it once or twice.

Im from Ludlow, you basically have a choice of 2 good curry houses, Shapla’s and Golden moments. There are more, but these 2 are by far the best.

Golden Moments is the best 🙂 They have a small menu, and do it really well 🙂

Ludlow also has an amazing Thai, you could try that.

Im in Holland working untill tomorrow, whats the weather like at the mo? 🙂

As an adult I have lived in Cheshire, South Yorkshire, Moray, Tyne and Wear, Warwickshire, Derbyshire, and Shropshire.

The best by far, and only place I have felt that I could settle in(and probably will do) is Shropshire.

My favorite county to visit is Wester Ross. My least favoutite, (one of my offices is there) Hertfordshire.

How can they dismantle the course claming that its too severe, when the general public have fort bill dh, Dalby, Dalbeattie, Laggan etc etc to ride. These are all sanctioned for use, all it takes is the standard trail
centre notice explaining that it’s for experienced riders only, and follow the blue/green arrows dependant on experience, skill etc.

From my understanding of it, All our top youngsters go through the British cycling system, this is set up to encourage riders from all backgrounds to road cycling. Annie last is an exception as she has a background in pure mountain biking and thinks of herself as a mountain biker, rather than it being a step on the road, to the road.

Back in days of the Bakers and Goulds, British cycling didn’t have the same structure, organisation and ethos that it now has.

I bought an ex demo 2012 stumpy from Pearce cycles, it came with a full manufactures warranty.

My understanding is that if it is a demo bike purchased from an authorised dealer, the warranty starts as full from when you buy it.
If the manufacturer won’t uphold that, then it’s bad on their part.

Oops just seen end result, good on orange.

For what it’s worth I got side swiped by a car 6 years ago. My head hit the ground, my helmet cracked in half, if I had not of been wearing one, I’d probably be dead now.

Cyclists should be made to wear helmets, the same as motorists should be made to wear seatbelts. If you don’t wear one your a fool.
Of course they won’t stop you being crushed by a truck, but there’s loads of accidents on bikes where the person gets injured by means other than getting crushed by a bus

Eastridge, Its great fun. A tough little 5 mile loop, would recommend 2 laps, as after the first you will ride the second alot faster 🙂 ideal as it’s almost in straight line between Nant and Derbyshire. It’s my fav Shropshire trail.

Oops just seen the natural bit in your request, go for the long Mynd, 🙂

Rode there this aft, on way home from work, the conditions were nearly perfect, Only 1 or 2 decent patches of mud on the whole circuit. Put it this way, I didnt have to change my bottoms or top for the remaining one and half hours drive home. My legs dried whilst putting my bike away etc etc. It was starting to dry out totally. Unless theres major rainfall again, it will be perfect tomorrow.

I dont know where these cheap deals are, I live in a low crime rate area and to insure my 4.5k of bikes on the house insurance it’s 30 a month!

I cant really find it any cheaper.

Charlton Arms in Ludlow, a 2 minute ride from miles of trails and downhill courses in Bringewood, 20 mins from Hopton and the Longmynd.

Plus its a great pub, good food, local ale, great view and location, family and biker friendly (they will give you secure storage for your muddy bike if you ask nicely). Great for the family as you can walk into centre of Ludlow, ya missus can check the shops out whilst you ride. Its my local watering hole. 🙂

I’ve never stayed at finale, I stayed near genoa, was there with work, I took a drive over to finale for a mooch around, and instantly knew why it was a favourite for mountain bikers in Italy. I certainly intend on going there with wife and toddler and bike later in the year. There’s plenty on the web about the area, and plenty of good hotels at finale.

If f. L is fully booked, try further down the coast in portovenre or lerici. Both beautiful places I stayed in both. Lerici for beaches, not sure about the riding . They are both at the foothills of the Ligurian alps though and I’ve thought they look like the riding could be great. I can recommend hotels if interested.

Maxels , wtf!!!! How can they charge so much?

The new reverb I love my reverbs, but you can get a set of decent forks (reduced in price) for the same price as the new model I can’t understand the price!
