I think the muc off stuff is really good. You do have to apply before every ride though, not the 2 or 3 rides it recommends.

Yeah, we have blackcaps daily in my garden, I did the rspb blackcap survey a few months ago, and ours behave totally wrong apparently! They are meant to be very aggressive within the garden bird community, yet ours are very stand offish and submissive, even with blue tits.

I find the natural world fasinating, how can a bird spend weeks rearing a chick, with total devotion, and then push it off a cliff, for no apparent reason?

Definitely, ive been birding all over the world for 20 years, and seen some amazing birds, and yet the sight of a barn owl, is still as fantastic as it was 20 years ago as a yoof.

Ive had 3 bramblings regularly since xmas 🙂

My garden bird list includes tawny owl and kingfisher, very proud 🙂

However one guy trumps all that, 2 Christmas’s ago, a stw’er (cant remember who, but was from bristol) had a long staying water rail in his garden. He had photo proof too. That is poss the best garden tick ive heard of, other thsn a dead corncrake turning up in a hampshire garden.

Another hotrock 16 here. My lad was not strong enough to pull the Cnoc handbrake, so the coaster brake was ideal.

I’m just getting him ready for the next stw niche 😉

I went there for a week last august with wife and 3 year old. We stayed in a cottage on kintra beach. You can park a motor home there . The beach is white sand, desertsd and a few miles long. Stunning 😉

I cant remember the name of the other amazing beach, but its where the choughs are. Goto the RSPB place and they will tell you.

Its generally a beautiful place, not alot for the kids, other than the great outdoors. The great thing though is it doesent take long to drive around, and the roads are empty. Great for birdwatching, if your into that sort of thing. The weather was great last August.

Im thinking about this on my blue pig. I know the frame will take it, not so sure about the revalations though.
Has anyone fitted a 650b in some revalations?

I built my blue pig for 900 quid, second hand voodoo wanga from eBay for 500, blue pig frame for 200, reverb for 200. You can get a quality build fir less than 1000 if you are prepared to do it your self, then you can get a road bike and buy the missus a pressie 🙂 major browny points.

The dh trails are still 3 or 4 inches deep in horrible slushy snow, but all ridable, most of the other trails are riding pretty well, even dry and dusty in places 🙂

Wow, just this minute looking at expedia, and thinking if booking a week at the end of august.

How much would a meal out be there ? An equivalent to ya nice normal Brit pub grub.

Also, how much is a pint of beer/ glass of wine?

    Cheers

It is a modern mans lifestyle choice, I totally agree. And not one I subscribe too, my missus is a veggie, and I’ve made damn sure, that our lad is not !

I was just pointing out, that historically we are more veggie than carnivorous.

    geologist

Actually, if you go back we are historically veggies, back in the days of the cave man, it was very difficult for them to catch meat, studies have shown that our prehistoric brothers were 99% veggie, only eating meat very very occasionally!

So you could say that veggie ism is more natural than meat eating.

I am a meat eater btw, I love nothing more than a nice free range chicken Kiev, sourced from my local farm shop 🙂
But to be honest I’d rather be veggie than eat shit meat from supermarkets. But that’s my choice.

I hate to say it, because it sounds all preachy, but dont buy fresh goods from the supermarket! Especially meat.

    Support your local small retailers
    Support animal welfare
But mainly, support good quality food!

You can tell im from ludlow (complete food snob) 😉

The Charlton Arms pub in Ludlow.

They have a place for storing bikes, and rooms, a great location and great beer.A forumer from here stayed there recently. They also own the Church in Ludlow, a bit more spit and sawdust, they may suggest staying there and storing the bikes in the Charlton, just down the road.

Myself and my riding mate posting above only live 200 yards away 🙂

    Give them a call.
