I thought it was the best mini trail centre ive ridden. So much fun to ride and much more flow than the likes of the FOD blue. Very entertaining. And im going to give the last steep climb to the red a thumbs up, its worth doing, just to get an extra bit of distance out of the lap, (its steep, but over in 2 minutes).
I agree that there is defo potential to injure your self here, if you ride it hard. Its tight, and even though its a blue, the faster skilled riders will still enjoy the endless tight tables, lumps and bumps

Have you tried my local, The Charlton Arms? Excellent location and the pub is bike friendly. Also, if ludlow is fully booked, try Leintwardine, its closer to hopton than ludlow.

Stop off en route at Ludlow, call in the Ludlow brewing company, they do all their beers in a mixture of ready to drunk barrels. Mmm I recommend the gold and the stairway. I get a 35 pint box of each when we have mates BBQ ‘s
Ride the bringewood dh area when there too , only about 3 miles from the brewing company.

Second the osprey place in gt itself, its a tiny place, but the warden got loads of birds feet and eggs and various natural artifacts out of the drawers for my 4 year old to look at last year. He loved it. I got a lap of the red in whilst my son and wife went there and the cafe. 🙂

Dont forget the cafe in gt has a set of the massive jenga, kids love that.

Im not a fan of big tyres, hence why ive had 2.0 storm controls on for most of the last year, plus, ive got some cash burning a hole in my pocket, and I thought why not try it. I was/am gonna get a wheel upgrade for it anyway. I was just wondering if it was feasible.

I have been pondering trading it in for a 29er, but I cant afford the ht 29er I really want, So have sort of put that idea to the backburner for a year or so.

Excellent, im tending to run 2.0 storm controls on it, so should be loads of frame clearance, for a similar 650b tyre. Just need to getsome fox forks in it.

Ooo, so I could swap the fox forks from my stumpy for the revs on my pig. Excellent , cheers. Or maybe I could try the 650 wheels in the stumpy instead 🙂

I fear you are right, ive just measured it all up on my bike, it wont happen 🙁

Anyone got any 650b forks for sale.

    Cheers all

Im off work tomorrow, so im going to visit all the bikes shops in the south Shropshire stanes to find a 650b wheel to try. As Box says, “clearance is clearance”.

    Ill report back.

The only reason I have sky is for the eurosport coverage of cycling, I dunno why, the coverage is always piss poor. Half of the time, they reschedule at 30 minutes notice, if something live over runs that day, they always bump the cycling off the shedule!

I though it was meant to be the most popular sport in europe! Why does it get cancelled for underwater one armed juggling?

    Good luck!

I dont know what you have to do to get in! I applied for a pgce in primary and was rejected. Now bare in mind I have a degree in civil engineering, 20 years experience in industry, and a wealth of youngsters athletics coaching. I spent a year teaching kids in an after school athletics club, plus gaining classroom experience in my wifes class!
When I called sheffield uni, I was informed that becuse my degree was not in a national curriculum subject, I was rejected. I asked that if I had a degree in history, would I have been accepted, and the answer was yes, despite the fact my degree contains degree level math, physics etc etc.

My wife has been teaching for 20 years, and a high proportion of her colleagues, are complete dimwits. I was insulted at the rejection.

Cheers guys, thanks for the offer of a test ride, but im in ludlow.

I have a stumpy fsr and a blue pig, so am thinking of trading in the blue pig for a reaction pro 29. I went to test ride one in hereford, and it felt really good. I use the stumpy and the blue pig for essentially the same thing, which is just larking around my local dh trails. I fancy something a bit more racey, and I guess the cube fits the bill.

    Cheers

Haha, I am that real life engineer who is **** useless with a bike.
I get paid a very good wage and get flown business class all over the world to fix highly complex military communications systems when they go faulty in action. But can I index my rear mech!!!! That will be a no. 😉

Good job my lbs are a top bunch (and very patient) 🙂

My new lbs is Pearce cycles. They have been my lbs ever sinced I moved to ludlow 3 years ago.

The mechanics are very skillfull and knowledgeable
They fit rush jobs in for me, on the same day.
They sold me an ex demo stumpy very early on in the season, for a great price.
They price matched evans for a reverb.
The guys in the shop, will always stop their job and chat to me, even when you can tell they are busy.
They have created 50% of my local trails (bringewood, hopton etc)
They are a family business, and it feels like that as a customer, you feel valued.
Not a dh’er, but their uplift is among the best in the UK, so ive been told.

My vote goes to them 🙂
