Was going to head up tomorrow morning – if the weather here is half decent, I may use reassign the pass for a jaunt out on Sunday morning instead. :?:

nickc – I don’t care, but I do find it offensive because IMHO its a stupid waste of money – it offends my sense of judgment and sensibility.
    But to each their own.

miketually has it right, but I do find the numbers associated with the Kaka transfer particularly offensive.

Congrats DJ. You don’t need to change a wet nappy every feed. You should be managing at least every other feed. And bottles are so much more hard work than breast – I take it you’ve tried getting them on the breast? Tis doable even after a bottle start.

I’m running 2, one on an iO and one on a Rig (29er). They are both great once you get over the initial cable stretch fettling. And I run the Nexus twist grip shifter cos I’ve got a spazzy thumb.

Ricoh Caplio GX100 is the dogs as far as I’m concerned. I used to have a G5 which was OK, but shutter lag used to really get on my bits. The G9 gets good reviews, but I am very happy with the GX100.

But TBH unless you want RAW and/or work in low light, and/or want all the manual controls, then you will struggle to beat a basic Ixus IMHO – got one of them too :-)

Druidh’s just bought a Multipla. I like them and the FR-V, but my, ahem, hips were too wide for the FR-V seats

Ah, I thought that, but was wondering if an aerial constituted a piece of equipment.

Only in the same way a plug socket does.

If you don’t have any equipment to receive a TV signal you don’t need a license.
    So No.

Another born an bred Lancashire boy from Bromley Cross now exiled in God’s own country. Some Scots I know take this sort of thing to a level that makes the Yorkshire/Lancashire thing look like tiddly winks.

According to some Glaswegians, all Edinburgh ladies wear fur coats with no knickers etc. etc…….

And do you know anyone from dirty Gala?

lobby_dosser – I presume you replaced all the bolts that were overtightened rather than just slackend them off?

    geoffj

I was told its about as tight as you can get by using the long end in the bolt and short end to turn the allen key using only your fingers – not a vulcan death grip.

I have a friend who is a senior fire officer. He drives his own car but has a blue light to use if he’s off to a big job – one of those megnatic ones on a curly wire which he plonks on the roof. He has on occasion switched it on whilst its been on the dash if he’s seen some particularly bad driving to put the frighteners on people. I’m not sure he’d go as far as stopping someone, but I wouldn’t 100% put it hast him!

    freeform5spot – glad you edited that :-)

I know the square root of **** all about gas fire installation.

But TBH if there is plenty of slack in the pipe, what could go wrong????

Another vote for Orkney or Aviemore both great, but very different.
Another option is Dunkeld – very central, easy access to Cairngorms, Fife, Trossachs, Edinburgh & Glasgow. Decent walking and stuff to do in the local towns of Pitlochry & Aberfeldy. Fishing, raftin or canoeing on the Tay is a bonus.

I’ve got a Spesh Sirrus which I think is great. Genesis and Ridgeback (same company) do some god flat bar road bikes too.

I had a Kona Jake which was great, the tricross is a real all rounder and I really like the criox de fer. The Focus bikes at Wiggle and Pinnacle’s (Evans) take on the cross bikes are pretty good.

But would a 22″ be like riding a gate?

I guess its all relative and depends on how he is going to want to feel on the bike. Of course usual rules apply and he should, if possible – and yes I know that is sometimes easier said than done, sit on a couple.

IIRC Ton of these parts was selling a spesh rock hopper and/or kona hoss that may be suitable size wise.

Hence, lack of real understanding of photographic techniques, such as use of shutter speed, or aperture, etc.

Its not exactly rocket science though is it?

The hardest part of taking decent images is being in the right place for suitable subject material and having the ability to compose the image in an interesting way – I can sometimes manage the former but usually fail miserably with the latter :-(

Makes **** all difference if you use a dark room or light room in that respect…and given the relatively low price of decent DSLRs today even cheap film cameras soon become more expensive once you’ve paid to put a few films through them.

The speakers will be fine. I wouldn’t bother with DAB, because reception is still flakey on the move. I’d spend the money on a decent iPod/MP3 interface.

Its worth considering if your going to get SatNav, as some of the units have mp3 interfaces etc and may duplicate functionality.

Did you go for the multipla?
