The baiting that goes on here can be quite amusing, however when is enough, enough? I wouldn't like to be a mod, think they do a pretty good job tbh.

Thought that was the whole point of bending the rules in sport, to win even if it gets banned the next season in a blaze of publicity? some examples here

18's stuff is really nice, I ride a Roberts and would consider a highend frame again. I also like Brant's approach, and like he says do you not think he'd have done it yet?
Sub 500quid frame? Honsetly in a mainstream material I don't think its a go because there's too much competition at that price bracket and 'made in the UK' just won't be enough imo.
    Good question though!

Give it to the church to hang alognside the Turin shroud and get History channel to make a documentary about it.

Was suprised to see the amount of flex in my Roberts around the bb.

Was reading the build system for the Pinarello Dogma that they mould the frame around a styrene core then melt the core our.

Interesting project, wonder who else's Carbon bikes are coming off that line? Merida? Good price point though and should be Brit proof given the lineage.

Why bike tucked into car? Don't they allow non-cp bikes in?

Have a set of 100mm on my jump bike, they are 20mm or 9mm bolt through compaible and easily tunable. Good enough for these boys Kev and Yanto[/url] then plenty good for me!

Link possibly not work safe, due to language.

The Cat from Hue by John Laurence though written about the Viernam war and is a perfect reflection of todays conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as a social commentary on how our lives are lived.

    +1 for Lance Armstrongs book.

We ran an Open12 at Llandegla last year, best organised outdoor pusuits event I've ever seen and all the competitors were decent people too. My event of choice is triathlon for this year though.

Quite fancy a go, a mate has done some of the OpenAdventure events and though tough loved it. Entry fees aren't that much when you consider the disciplines involved, triathlon entries are about 50quid a pop!

As for the 'office' worker jibe, just finishing in one piece is an achievement. Winning is a whole different game, just look at the background of teams like Quechua and ATP/Salomon.

We have 2 of the newer shape ones and one has had a ton of sand in it fine. They both run fine and seem ok on the whole do about 32-35mpg when driven with a light foot. My brother had an series2 one and it cost a fortune in fuel.

Think he's outstanding and unusually for a Yank he gets irony, just look at his Glasto performance with the Oasis 'tribute'. Empire State of Mind was the single of the year for me.

Though the flight is a little longer than you want, I would highly recommend New York a fantastic city. For something a little closer how about Paris, there's so much to do and see there and its easy to do the non-tourist stuff too.

dandan, trails will be impassable for some time yet as there has been no assesment of the trail conditions. Fact is the snow is too deep to ride in! There are some downed trees with the weight of snow and see what (if any) trail damage there is from a combination of the loads of rain we had before the frost set in. If we do open it will only be for walking, eating and shopping.

    takisawa2 thanks for the support.

As soon as we fully open, we will let you know.
