Was really reluctant and it took a while to get used to having a sprog around the house, found it quite difficult actually tbh. Did it to keep my partner happy more than anything else.

My lad is 3 in October and we have really bonded its all about the daddy, worked late tonight and he had left me cake on the table especially for me! Its changed my view on life hugely am much more chilled these days.

Maybe King, Hope or White Industries hubs should be the substitute for a bell. My Pro2's anncounce their prescence really well 😉

Seems to be a theme here, every passtime has its fringe elements that are grouchy/extremeist/partisan blah blah blah its the way of things in society.

I use a 661 p*ss pot for mucking around on, a Giro Xen for most riding and a Spesh Deviant for the bigger more obviously dangerous stuff and tbh its as comfy and well vented as my Giro.

I do tend to wear outdoorsy type brands and clothing, Animal, Vans, Mountain Hardwear etc but its due to the fact that I’m really a bit of a slob and like comfy clothes so its a happy coincidence of lifestyle and fashion.

The social thing amuses me as most of SWMBO’s friends are ‘big weekend’ beer monsters and don’t get the whole outdoor pursuits thing and I can’t grasp blowing the equivalent of a nice hardtail on booze every month! My count of toys so far is 3bikes, mountainboard, skateboard and snowboarding gear 😉

Checked all your settings are right? Might have too much sag or not enough compression damping.

Tbh the biggest difference I found was cutting out junk food, my local kebab shop owner commented the other day ‘he hadn’t seen me for a while -mate’! And cutting out bread as well as trimming down my booze intake, elevated my riding a little and lost 9lbs in 3months down to 13.8st and a bmi of 23, I’m 6ft4in and 35.

Bought a juicer a few weeks ago, the fruit juices seem to work a treat but the veggie juices have given me my first ever migraine!

I stick to 30 in a 30 etc where the chances of killing someone or getting nicked are much higher. But as soon as the de-limit signs arrive its fair game to match the road conditions… makes me chuckle the lengths some drivers will go to as to not be passed by an ancient Nissan.

The RQ’s are pap. Have swapped from Conti Vert Pro’s on my fs to ADvantages and I think they’re superb nice and progressive when they let go and grip quite well in all conditions, I tend to run them at 35psi.

Best colour they do is the metallic green imo. Nice bike the Alpine one of our instructors has one, rides really nicely and is fairly light too.

And yes that rotor is the wrong way round, thought they had direction arrows machined into them?

My son’s the same went from eating loads of different things to just eating bananas and yoghurt as well as his formula for a week!
We found that the more we fretted about it the worse his eating fads got, so now we take the attitude of ‘if he’s hungry he’ll eat’ and it works he will now come and sit at the table and eat his luch/dinner. The staff at the nursery he goes to say he has the best table manners and eating habits of all the children in his age group, even my mum has made comments that he’s really good when they take him out.
Smoothies seem to work really well if you are concenred about fruit intake and even a juicer too, Jnr. really likes carrot and orange juce and loves the colour of beetroot juice!

Just gently persist and try lots of different food, patience really is a virtue!

Daisy does that mean you’ll volunteer to run it?
It takes so much to organise these events and getting all groups to be on board is tough there would have to be an army of volunteers with someone to head them up. The adventure race we had over the weekend was superbly organised they spent 4months visiting all households on the route to make sure they had backing it was a case of they did their race bit and OnePlanet could concentrate on doing the other bit of providing an event venue with food, drink, race control/briefing areas and tech support.

Heavy? Huh? Our lead instructor has one and tbh it feels the same weight as my Cannondale Jekyll! I reckon my next rig will be a custom spec 20in Alpine.

but I though that the series was on the up, I would have thought that they’d gone for more dates to maximise media exposure.

I have them on my ss, so far utterly reliable – equal to the Pace RC36’s they replaced. My all up ride weight is about 95kg and on the stock settings they are fine only bottom out when really hustling!

Living in North Wales you get used to sporadic bouts of odd RAF activity, used to live by the old asylum in Denbigh where they filmed Most Haunted Live recently that was closed down a coulpe of years ago by the police for a counter terrorism excercise lots of unmarked vans on military plates involved in that one I reckon ‘The Regiment’ had a hand in it.

There are persistent rumors of a large predatory cat on the Berwyn mountains in North Wales, oddly the same line of hills that the ‘British Roswell’ happened on in the 70’s

Mate has an ST4 and is very impressed with it having just put possibly an entire summers worth of riding in on it in the space of a week. Have heard that Orange have a few tweaks on the way for next year on them, and the colour to go for is neon green imo.
