Bumped into Gaz in a pub in Oxford years ago, possibly the least rock and roll muso I've ever met unlike Richard Ashcroft..

Blimey, must be something in the air. My wife wants a divorce and I know of 5 others who are in the same situation!

Back to the horse racing, I live about a mile from Chester racecourse and it really is a festival of poor taste and spray-tans everytime there is a meet.

We had the Spesh mentioned in the op at ours last summer, its truly a thing of hideousness. There was a Trek Fuel in the workshop a few months ago with a full Brooks springer saddle!

We do have someone who gets dropped off and sits on the deck all day next to his slick shod fully pimped out 224 waiting for people to say 'cool bike' to him. He later gets picked up by his so having not turned a wheel on it! wtf?!

If you're on a trail marked on an OS map you're fine.

Did they get a big advert in it besides the review?

That's utter cr*p, tell them that politely 🙂 As far as I know the position on all bridleways as marked on OS maps is no different to what they always have been, the legal RoW exists as it always has done for horse, cycle and foot traffic on the Offa's Dyke path.

The only permissive access is across the Planks of Doom as it is indeed part of the Offa's Dyke path. mfl, I can guess who the club is and its important to remember that without the co-operation of a lot of people and parties the trails would not exist.
Planning meeting again tomorrow where no doubt the neighbours will kick up a fuss about cars being parked in the passing places, riders being on cheeky trails etc. Its now getting to the point that all future development is in jeopardy.

Please don't, there are loads of issues with the planning authority and extension of RoW. Keep to marked bridleways only, and the RSPB are an important partner for TillHill so try and be nice to them too!

Thing with the FC is there is no single person responsible for trailbuilding so the policy varies from area to area. If they could get a unified policy going it would improve things no end.

Wasn't there a story about a pro motorcycle racer jumping a hire car off a promenade onto a beach then delivering it back to Avis full of sand and *slightly* out of shape? Not sure but think it was Stavros and Sheene?

Chez Joules is unbeatable for the money, though my current fave is Blackhouse Grill. The Ruan Orchid does really good Thai food too.

My Father In Law was a firefighter in Liverpool at the height of the Cold War and was telling me about the dispersal plans for emergency services in the event of it all going off. Also met a few V-Force pilots at RAF Coningsby amazing how prosaic they all were about the job.

Its a little harsh to rant at Chipps and the guys on the whole as I think the magazine is well written and presented, sure it may be a little light from time to time but so what? Its not some 9-5 Monday to Friday job to run a mag, or in fact anything to do with leisure/sports industry.

If you think you can do better, go off and produce your own magazine. Simple.

Evo magazine had one as a long term test car, they loved it. Good build quality, dealers, handling etc. Think Catchpole who races road bikes used it to carry his, the only complaint they had was that it was a little heavy on petrol.

I hear that 50pounds per metre on good ground is the norm, could be up to 3times that depending on material used.

Use Fenwicks, I've seen Muc-Off reduce mag pedals to fur and strip the anodizing off an xtr drivetrain.
