You can keep your derailleur and switch to a 11spd shifter. The XG-1150 is £85 from Tredz and the best in terms of weight/cost/durability ratio.

The front hub was listed as 20x100mm which is a weird BMX size. Is it 20×110? Either way it’s a odd hub combo. I considered it but decided I already had way too many wheel spares.

Don’t use a Hope kit as it moves the cassette away from the hanger. It’s better to use a generic kit that is just a 6mm spacer on the non-driveside, a 6mm disc spacer, longer bolts and re-dish the wheel 3mm. Gives you more even spoke tension too.

I’ve always liked my Canfield, which for a 230mm travel DH bike with idler has simple lines and some nice bits of CNC. Anodised finish still looks good 15 years later as well.

I saw this whilst out riding! Was very fiery and super fast.

We recently re-sealed our wooden framed windows and doors for just over £90. Fitting was easy but tedious. It has made a massive difference though, the cold draft near windows is massively reduced. Only problem now is the doors are had to lock as the seal puts too much pressure on the door.

No the 35 is pretty rubbish. The bushings are half the size of a normal Rockshox fork so wear really quickly and they have a odd secondary air spring assembly so they can use cheap heavy stantions.

Is there any drop on the land, 4X only works with some downhill otherwise it’s too pedally and needs the efficiency of a BMX. I can’t think of any flat 4X tracks.

I missed one person off my postage list so need to make at least one more hanger. Send me a PM if you’re still looking for one as I’ll make a couple more.

Bummer, I’ve literally put your hanger in the post 1/2 hour ago. I have some spare stainless torx I could have included :-( The Ali frames use M5x12mm, steel are M5x10mm.

How old are we talking? Battery should not fail even outside of ‘warranty’. I’d be going down the not fit for purpose route with your retailer to get it replaced.

I have that SKS head and it’s crap for seating tyres as when you take the presta value core out it constantly switches to schrader mode.

24mm internal rim I believe. They look nice but tick a lot of ‘things I don’t want on my wheels ‘ boxes, hard to find freehub replacement, straight pull spokes, 28h.

I did order some 100% shorts, jerseys, gloves and a NS DH hub though. All I need now is a cheap set of 83mm cranks.

In what sense? It comes with a C1 airshaft, but any Yari/Lyrik shaft should fit (I think!). I actually prefer the B2 design, bigger negative air volume so it sits into it’s travel a bit more, can’t find a 180mm one though :-(

Cheers Tracey, ordered 5 chains to get free postage, will keep me going for a while.

Good to hear. Except for a couple of EU orders, hopefully everyone has everything they ordered now. If anyone is missing anything come Friday, please let me know.

Not a massive saving, but Hope brakes are rarely more that 15% discount. V4s are £161 and E4s £150 from CRC currently.

    Ebike – (29″ 3CT 2.6″ EXO+) I run DHF front and DHR rear.

DH bike – (29″ 2.5″ DD) I run 3CG DHF front and 3CT DHF rear. I find it slides more pradicably and I don’t need the forward traction on a DH bike as I never pedal hard.

Good luck! Could be a bit blowy.

I’ve run a splug in a Yari and Boxxer for 4+ years and can’t fault it. Feels much better than moco over fast chattery bumps. Dead easy to service too.

Decals are bold but colour is not bright, almost bronze, kind of match old non-black stantion colour. IMG_20231216_180242

The Pike/Revelation airshaft does not fit the Yari/Lyrik chassis, they are different diameters.

@Bigmantrials and @Lucasshmucas you both have messages.  I have now sold all of the non-driveside dropouts and down to the last 5 hangers in stock.

Non-driveside should never break, these are purely to match the colour for those that like the silver look. I will message those who have expressed interest, I didn’t make too many. I also have a few more hangers in stock, not planning on making any more as it sounds like Betd should start producing them next year.

Thanks for all the positive feedback and Merry Christmas.

Haha, I am currently designing some crowns to make a Rockshox Bari fork. Need a cheap 29″ DH fork to go on my discount Nukeproof Dessent frame. So I’m using some 29″ Yari lowers on older 26″ boxxers, but need wider crowns to make it work.

Cool looks like there is some interest so I’ll try to do a small batch. Niel11 – yours has already been posted. Saccades – I will message you on Tuesday if they machine ok and hold off posting for now.

If I were to machine a matching silver dropout for the non-driveside, would anyone be interested @ +£7 on new orders or £9 posted to those who’ve already had theirs posted?

Thanks for checking the fit. Glad people are happy with the finished article :-) I’ve now sold the last of the second batch, but will try to machine some more soon.

Glad to hear they are arriving ok. It would be good if a couple of people could confirm they fit fine, as I’ve only tested them on my frame! I’m just labelling up the second batch, which I was going to post yesterday but forgot the printed labels so now would be a good find to double check.

Can you tell I have postage label OCD, they aren’t coming off!

Hanger wise I have 3 left unsold, but about 7 people haven’t replied. Assuming I can find some suitable offcuts of metal I’ll probably do another batch at some point, probably after Christmas though.

Titanfall 2 campaign is fantastic if you want a solo FPS experience. Only takes 6-8 hours, but loads of cool mechanics, the movement is beautiful, it looks good and it’s like £3.

I machined a second batch of hangers today and I think I have messaged everybody on this thread who has asked for one. If you want one and haven’t received a message, send me a pm asap. I have a couple of spares, but not many. The first batch was sent via Royal Mail 2nd class yesterday.

I do quite a lot of custom hand tooling design for assembling stuff, so often make prototypes/one-offs. Also do a lot of testing on machine tools so sometimes make fixtures and test pieces.

Kramer – good thinking, will add something. Hard to do on disc side without making the axle longer.

Possible singlespeed dropout design, not convinced it will clamp tight enough not to slide though.

In terms of strength they should be slightly stronger than the original. Dimension wise the should be the same thickness as the original and only about 1mm wider at the thinnest point, but I bet the 6082 I’ve used is much better quality than the mild brie the originals are probably made of!

Kermit4king – this is my DJ bike I built years ago, it’s a Dialled Holeshot with homemade horizontal dropouts welded on. The brake mount is fixed position but works well enough even though the alignment isn’t perfect unless the wheel is centered in the slot.

Neither of the hangers fit straight on my frame:
    Collage_2023-12-09_08_59_49
But ultimately I don’t think it matters as the axle aligns everything and it measures straight when the axle is done up. The hanger alignment seems good even though the frame seems to be on the piss and the angle the hanger is at relative to the frame does not change when tightened.
