Not sure where I stand on this really, I had a building blow down when I was in it, winds of c.95/100mph. It hurt. I wouldn’t want that to happen to a school…..but I suspect the chance of slates falling off roofs & landing on their head as the walk to a mates house or a branch falling off a tree are higher.

Off to stand in the corner feeling confused now

excellent work GW, I would like to suggest free passes so you can go and ride whenever you like & whenever you are too knackered for the BJ’s too (if that would ever happen)

I tried to explain about taking a towel with you wherever you go as well but then both sons just looked at me as though I was mad & my misses told me they weren’t ready for it yet.

What price education? Who could ask for more than H2G2

Am liking the picture of the book on the kindle sort of sums it up.

Must go back and read the book, its been a good few years – probably why I didn’t remember it was a rod.

So long (& thanks for all the fish)

Bestest Christmas ever my parents organised all my grandparents etc & I went from no scalextrics to over 100 bits of track & 10 cars (all 2nd hand) in 1 day… I was in heaven.

I did have to get Mum to stop my Dad & Grandfather to stop playing it when I went to bed though

Another reading the re-released Catch 22, am finding it alternately excellent and a chore, I remember it as brilliant but less so now. I suspect I don’t have the time or maybe have too many distractions to let me fully concentrate on it.

Not sure about compression tights, certainly good stretching helps, I find doing a plank up the stairs works at stretching the backs of my legs well for it.

As far as I know no reason not to add gin or vodka to tonic, its the quinine you are after… thats certainly the best fix that I have come across

Suffered for years, I find if I am fit or unfit I am ok but somewhere in between & its a right pain.

Tonic water seems to work for me, I keep a load of small tins in the fridge & if I am suffering then neck one and am ok soon after

Up to you if you add gin to it, I don’t but that’s only because the misses drinks it if we have some around

Just thinking back to when it happened to me, the thinking at the time from the bank was that the account was set up & either it was somebody in the house as mentioned before, or it was somebody who thought I would assume it was junk mail & shred it. T
hen after a couple of months they could change the address & they have a working acct in my name.
Problem with that though is why do it with £10k though, why not do it with a little amount?

I believe so. Certainly thats what they told me, it seems they make an appointment to come round & people often go out thinking if they are nto there then nothing will happen… unfortunately the bailiffs just get a locksmith to let them in.

Get her a kindle. I have one, love it.

In reality it does one thing lets you read ebooks, it does it really really well, it keeps lots of them & you can download more easily (inc STW I’m pleased to see).

You can access the web but its shonky. Same with email. But you really can read books on it & it is not heavy so your hands don’t tire like they do with a tablet and it fits in my fleece pocket and the battery lasts for a couple of weeks even if you are on holiday reading lots.

I had something not dissimilar & the first thing the police did was check it wasn’t the kids or misses setting me up … the theory being that it had to be somebody who could access the post.

It wasn’t (thank god) and we never really worked it out but the police gave me crime numbers etc which helped when talking to the fraud departments of banks before anything nasty could happen.

Good luck and change everything you can

I used this lot for a run of 8 sports jerseys :- http://www.webrandit.co.uk

They did what they said on the tin, I am sure they would do a 1 off, depending on if you could use one of their base designs & put a picture on it

I find Everybody Hurts uplifting, either “we,ve gotta get out of this place” -Animals? Or “Come on girl lets kiss this thing goodbye” – Deacon Blue I think … I may have made up my own words to altered theres but works for me

In the interview with Rob “teflon” Andrew he said he would not be resigning, basically very little to do with him how the England Team play, he has responsibilities to the whole English Rugby setup.

My Plastic Taff side is very pleased with Edwards at Wales my English side wonders why the RFU didn’t snap him up… can’t decide if emotionally I win or lose with the outcome

A Dave Brailsford approach is needed in the rugby world, a headline figure who shields the players from the powers that be & provides the best they can, then stand back and let the experts do their work

They should work fine as long as your router has ethernet & I’m sure most do.

Have had a netgear set for years, the only drama I have is that my DAB radio does not work well when the plugs are turned on – I tend to only switch them on when needed

ohnohesback – agreed & what do volvo get back from it other than the odd corporate days – but is it any different from the costs in football etc, just the money is spent on the kit not the people as much

I loved Robin Knox-Johnson’s book of his win of the first round the world non stop race.

Basically took a heavy boat, filled it up with fags & booze and a bit of food & set off. I think he limited himself to half a bottle of spirits a day.
He also used to swim to keep himself in shape; middle of the ocean nobody about, hang a warp over the side, jump off the bow & swim until tired then grab the warp and climb back on….mental!

A chimney blew down through the roof I was sitting under in a bad storm I got buried under rubble, the table 3 feet in front of me fell 3 stories as the wall gave way they don’t know how I got out but get out I did 🙂

Rosberg is a bit too much like a 2nd rate Button as well, better for something different at McLaren – Di Resta from Force India?

As for Ferrari – Webber he could see out his career there nicely
