    We’ve got a sonos 1 & a 3, no bridge & it works fine on wireless.

As bits of kit they work well, means I can turn my teenagers music down so I can shout at them 🙂 Also can turn it off from my phone when they go out leaving it playing.

The only thing I need to sort is random play or I get the same playlist in the same order all the time – but thats probably me needing to learn.

I have a WD NAS so can play any music on either speaker

we bought a madbull for my youngest a couple of years ago – 9 at the time, I got a pre built one but since then have had to go through odd re-building, stripping down exercises with him so despite copping out on the pre-built he still gets to tinker – although his favourite was being bought a new unpainted body shell & getting to mark it up & paint it his colours (currently matt black with neon green stripes)

I’ve been thinking for a few days that I really can’t believe he is clean. I’ve just finished Christophe Bassons book, now I definitely can’t, there are too many new drugs that cannot be tested for at this point.

As Bassons says though most cyclists and fans are generally hoping for the best and cheer the effort, this tour I just shake my head a little too

Ah, that’ll explain the DC3 in D Day colours that was rumbling about above my heard when I nipped out at lunchtime 🙂

I did see the biplanes & a chinook too but the chinooks are often about

Funny thing happened on Saturday, I woke up with chest pains, a stiff left arm & tingling in my fingers – like a wally I went to be linesman at my sons ride, then went for a bike ride as it was arranged, all the time wondering if all of a sudden my chest was about to hurt quite a lot.

Then I saw this thread so was into the Dr’s first thing this am – luckily I appear to have a trapped nerve rather than a more serious issue – Dr said to go to them or call 999 if chest pains next time esp if sweaty or feeling sick.

At least I shall sleep better tonight with a fair chance I shall wake up tomorrow.

Thanks for posting – at 48 I have two mates who have issues, stents for one and a minor stroke for the other – both fit(ish) both eat ok(ish) neither drinks to much (ish)

as above, it was good after the gorrick courses had been set but the loggers have trashed it

We did go & try & re-build some trials just after Xmas but went back a week later & they were trashed again – so given up for now

Will try again when the loggers have gone

Bought one for my two kids about a month ago & really impressed with it.

I have not locked down their accounts at all but insist it is in a downstairs room where my wife & I can see it as we pass and told them that they can do whatever they think is right but that as I have access to the router I can see everything they have looked at (I can’s) so they had better ensure they can justify what they have done if asked

Mine is certainly a diary & a gentle tease of people on the ride for misadventures or those who have copped out for one reason or another – I imagine if you don’t know the people then its very dull.

I’ve never looked at the stats before, it seems to show c.8k pm with a peak of 19k last July but I suspect that to be web crawlers rather than actual humans.

Still I enjoy doing it & those I ride with seem to look forwards to the next installments – as do their wives to see what they’ve been up to – not sure my misses has ever looked at it though – typical 🙂

This version seems to have been going 5 years! Really minority interest though, unless you ride bikes with me I suppose.

It started about 4-5 years before this version with a website as a way of keeping people up to date with Le Mans trips & sharing photos

Final thought from me, just south of Averanche we came across some lovely smooth tarmac, turned out we were on the TdF time trial course about a week before Froomey 🙂

Oh & there was a Buffalo Grill close to the hotel, filled up hungry cyclists that night, a bit heavy on the stomach next day.

Pre booking the hotel is cheaper than just turning up.

The river gorge from Tessy to St Lo was really nice although not tarmacked for most of it – so careful on the tyres (my specialized Roubaix armadillo’s did fine) – the main road over the top would have been a bit unpleasant

We were at an Ibis (I think) at St Lo, there was a formula just over the road that was a tad cheaper but I think ferry to StMalo, hotel at St Lo, Ferry back from Ouistream was about £120 all in

We did a couple of days earlier in the summer, St Malo to St Lo which ended up being 95 miles by the route we took (the river route to St Lo is well worth a look) then St Lo to Ouistream via the D Day Beaches on the 2nd day – 65 miles.

Personally I would have preferred to do it over 3 days but that was lack of training

We have one, its big, its yellow and it takes up lots of space that could be better utilised for something else. I have never used it, the misses seems to like it though (god knows why)

Get a sieve much more useful

    IMHO

Not sure I would bother, for the first time ever I used a helmet last year… it was also the first time for years I have managed to get away with sunnies as normally my eyes stream when I start going a bit faster. so maybe the airflow means sunnies are more useable

The emergency services are responding to reports of a helicopter crash in south London.

The London Fire Brigade said it had received multiple calls of a helicopter hitting a crane in Vauxhall.

Ex-BBC producer Paul Ferguson said the helicopter “plummeted straight into the ground”. People have reported seeing a pall of smoke in the area.

Police said they first received calls at 08:00 GMT and the London Ambulance Service said it was also at the scene.

Transport for London has confirmed there has been an incident.

Mr Ferguson added: “The building the helicopter hit is shrouded in mist.”

He said the crane at the top of the building was now hanging down the side of the building.

Quite a few decent rides, Minley Manor Gorrick 12:12 course & Caesars has some bits I like… it is a bit boggy about but if you have a GPS I can send you an mmo file or 2 (just searching pc to see what I have.

Another who had a caterham – huge great VX engine in mine, an HPC – great for occasional use but horrible with the hood up and the screen misting, not able to see out of the side screens and if you touch your arse on the wheel arches then wed muddy trousers all day.

    Loved it though.

Oh & you have to get used to people pulling out in front of you, not sure if that is because of the acceleration & you are where they dont expect you to be or the fact it is small & people think you are further away but another hazard to be mindful of
