This may be a really dumb question, but can you use windows type apps?

We have outsourced exchange for our emails so I really need outlook (I think), I also have a couple of old laptops that became too slow so am interested in trying linux … also would I be able to use windows games & watch dvd;s on ubuntu? (I suspect the answers will be no, no, yes)

Trekster, I know that feeling, I have a 140bhp passat est with the dsg box & find pulling out of junctions can be a bit hairy as you hit the flat spot & the DSG box is trying to work out what to do .. a bit unnerving when there is a car coming towards you & you arent really going anywhere.

The ice racing is totally mad, that would be something to watch with F1 cars … I read somewhere that the tyres are doing up to 150mph & the car is doing 70 sideways … its where the old F1 drivers go anyway

I did enjoy this last weekend & the fact that some were two stopping & some were on one stop, I even enjoyed the nonsense that says you have to run different tyres, it all spiced it up a bit. Not always like that though

You probably can. From the top of Caesars Camp (Farnham) you can see Canary Wharf & The Gerkin quite well … I havent been there when Wembley is lit up & the night is clear but am pretty sure you would be able to see it too

My parents spent about 10 years there & my mother was spitting about how much it had been dumbed down / made to look easy that (the lovely) Ms Humble could do as she liked & only got security updates etc at the last minute.

Other than that very enjoyable 🙂

Oh god, it took us ages.

The best bet appeared to be wash hair, then use conditioner, then a louse comb; it appears the lice cannot hold onto the hair because the conditioner makes it too slippery.

Then blow dry & make your kids hair go like a puff ball …. haha my 6 year old boy hated that bit!

There is a map on the site with an elevation chart on it.

Pretty flat I guess, to me in my lardy ness there are short sharp bits, but I guess the longest hill is about 100m long, so nothing too much.

We are out around the woods again tonight, I have not managed to work out exactly what the course is though.

From last year when it was just 2 inches of mud everywhere & the odd large puddle it is totally different. Dry & a bit dusty, I did find a puddle on Saturday but chose not to ride through it, so no dramas with it covering the whole width of the track.

If its any help I had a GPS with me on Saturday, here's the google map link to the route that I took … some of it will be right.

    Linky

I stopped & spoke to one of the organisers while there & he said that the course is not exactly the same as last year, some of the route will be done backwards & some bits have altered.

I have driven a couple. A ZZR engined westie & a blade engine caterham. Lots of fun, great with the sequential box & brilliant front ends due to lack of weight.

Not sure how they would work in a puma though, the original cars I drove would have been 500/550kgs with their original engines in so nearer 425/450 with the bike engines.

Definately good for a laugh & totally manic.

Cracknell does seem like a huge guy, whenever you see them silhouetted it is easy to see which one he is.

Totally agree with above, if he were more humble (& wouldnt we all like more Humble) they would be looking much stronger as a team

We have a scenic, the car supermarket in Slough does some decent deals.

Many hate them, ours has been great. Now the kids are a little bigger there are 3 rear seats so we can bring a friend home. Also easy enough to take a seat out for putting bikes in. Lots of storage space & a very dinky second rear mirror so you can check on the little one while driving … very very useful as you are about to find out 🙂

I thought the sound was dire during The Answer & Subways, but awesome with AC/DC, obviously they turned it up a bit but also I moved from the floor to the stands, so may have made a difference.

Lots more AC/DC on the various music devices around me this weekend 😀

Oh yeh, I suspect we will be there to find a bar at about 16.00.

I did see AC/DC when they re-opened The Hammy Odeon about 4 years ago, brilliant; Brian Johnson forgot the words to Back in Black & did the first verse twice. DOH!

I have had hayfever since being a kid, sometimes the air can feel like beathing syrup which is a little disconcerting. Generally now I just treat the symptoms, Optrex for the eyes, Sinutab for the nose, does up & go with it.
The medication is cumulative so worth taking regularly rather than just when the symptons hit.

After ride pink eyes is the worst thing. Looks like I have been crying for hours (& it has nothing to do with me being slow & scared)

I’m an IT Recruitment guy…. its pretty crap I’m afraid.

There are a few companies recruiting, if you find the relevant company or recruiter who has the role(s) & your skills fit then its good.

There are more companies doing not much so much fewer real live roles around I’m afraid.

Sorry I have nowt around Bristol / SW
