Thanks Uplink, I can tune by channel no. I had been looking for (& failing to find) a list of transmitters, I will give that a try tonight 🙂

its on the terrestial channels, I have tried re-tuning the tv a couple of times on auto or manual but no sign of either channel. I have not tried to retune the dvd recorder so I do have a start point … however no sign of either channel anywhere.

I have looked at the link from Grahams & I am supposed to be ok until 2012. The cable box works fine so I am just using that at the mo. I guess the only time I will have a problem is if I want to watch BBC2 & record channel 5, otherwise I have a work around & it will come back at some point; or I will need to get a digi box.

We have a couple of sets & the boys (aged 6 & 8) like it. I got it because of the space issue, I didnt fancy losing the whole house to a full sized set & this can be put up in a bedroom ok.

The cars arent that tough, the bodies break however they do keep running. Amazingly fast almost full throttle & keep it there seems fastest it works fine for us & keeps the kids quiet for an hour or two

Mad me laugh like a crazy thing & didnt stop grinning for ages… looking at the above again, I spent far too much time looking at the wheel in front & the gap between me & the cyclist in front was too large …next time I will work on that.

Sports Shop.

I am not that sporty & I have never run a shop but I live in a town of about 80,000 and there isnt anywhere to buy a badminton/tennis/squich bat or things to hit …there is a (great) bike shop & lots of phone shops, banks / building societies, cafes/coffee shops but no where… you want kit or trainers, other than from next & you are knackered… how do the powers that be expect the next generation not to be obese?

Yeh tibia; skiing aged about 10 when my Dad fell on me.
My Mum was about 50 meters away & heard the snap … he still feels bad about it & I am 44 now.

Sorry no x rays but I have a tiny amount of toe in on my left leg, probably wouldnt show on a photo though. My left foot is 2 sizes bugger since then though, they think no shoes during a growing phase may have done it

The pc is 5 years old & I think new progs & all the ancilliary bits they run had just got too much for it. The latest update I applied was AVG 9.0 & I suspect that was the final nail in the current configuration.

A start from scratch re-install appears to be working, its not crashing every 30 mins & even the ads on the side of this page are not causing hickups 🙂

I was wondering about the rallying being less demanding post too… less G force so possibly less strain on the body, but far more moving about on the pedals twirling of the arms for much longer times.

Take a copy of your cv with you & job spec if you have one. Try to use examples of how you have done things rather than just say you can/cant or did keep somebody happy.

Try to interact with everybody in the interview not just the one asking the questions if there is more than one person interviewing.

By nice to everybody they may ask the receptionist or cleaner how you were when you entered the building.

I loved Scalextric as a kid, for one Xmas all my relatives got together & bought second hand kits for me .. I went from no scalextric to over 100 bits of track & 10 cars on one (very happy) day.

After I was sent to bed I could hear the cars going round as my Dad, Grandfather & Uncle played … I had to get Mum to stop them.

I took a car from 16 inch to 13 inch & had no issues, it does depend on tyre size as well… I wanted a less stiff ride but a softer compound tyre so ended up with the same grip but in a more forgiving guise as well less unsprung weight.

Depending on circumference change obviously ride height & speedo reedings
