Thinking this through a little further, do your kids cook or get taught cooking at school? They need to use knives for that.
My 8 year old likes to help in the kitchen (he does like rugby etc as well) so gets to use proper kitchen knives too so far no blood – no issues once he was taught how to use them & to keep his fingers out of the way

Haven’t read it all but I got my kids (8 & 9) swiss army knives for christmas having shown them how to use them.

Now they happily whittle sticks etc and make “tools” to clean mud out of football boots etc

+1 for good dad – they have to learn sometime, better you take the initiative and show them how to do it properly than they use a mates khukri in the woods having never touched a knife before & cut their fingers off.

Its fairly high (for the south) – 600ish feet & a rise of about 200ft (I think) – so I guess as good as you can get locally – it has bits (well one area) I’ll not cycle down but I am a middle aged, overweight balding wuss (typical STWer) so interested to see those who can not only survive the ride but make a good job of it

Didn’t know on the price, the misses came home with them.

We are odd in our house, the kids don’t like baked beans so I did find there were a few left lest night and brought them in to work today. Very happy with the result too 🙂

    LOL @ Rusty

Just not seen them in an easily sealable plastic container before & there are more in there than a tin too

As a plus the container is just the right size to keep workshop based items in once it has been cleaned

Cougar – either encrypted storage or a USB dongle that is sufficiently secure that it can be used for carrying passwords etc & if it thinks it is trying to be hacked with multiple password attempts will shut down / erase etc.

I would prefer to only have to remember one password – if everywebpage I use has different passwords then all I have to do is remember the dongle one & look up others as I need them.

Also any confidential stuff can be kept on there.

I have a set, not sure of the name but its the one with 4 XPG’s.

An excellent bar light, lots of floodlight and great in the woods/singletrack it can look a little short on distance when out in the open. I use it with a joystick helmet light and that works well as the joystick adds a bit more distance (but without the same amount of all around light)

I’ve used mine for over a year & no dramas

But probably my favourite was my MkIV spitfire – no need to go over 50, in fact it was terrifying to do so, would understeer, oversteer and 4 wheel drift all in legal limits

We did a boat trip on the canals for a couple of hours, a good way to see bits fo the city – got bored half way through & walked back through the big park in the centre though.

You could always see if Barclay James Harvest are playing (but you need to be of a certain age for that) 🙂

There is plenty to see, the misses was working so I spent most of a day just ambling around, amazing the work going on – I had last been before the wall came down and was quite confused when walking to Checkpoint Charlie but approaching from the wrong side

Kurferstendam (spelling?) is worth walking through

Other than to post the sneaky pics you have snapped of her using your phone while loitering at the water cooler natch

There were some stories about getting credit at a later date – the address may flag up as somewhere where there was bad debt – not a biggy as you just have to prove you are not the owners who had the problems but it can mean you have to provide some documentation.

We had ladybird books on the Army, Navy & Airforce – think I will have to explain that we had those too in the not too distant future.

In the mean time I always preferred Ceylon to Sri Lanka

Going back a good number of years I had some missiles (MSLs) they would have done too – am not up with the latest skiis I’m afraid.

Or ski sticks like Roger Moore had in The Spy Who Loved me may help.

Wolves could be at Serre Che or Le Grave (do they have any pistes there yet?) too from the map of Haute Alpes

Fast ski’s would be good, or those to help you avoid wolves

Rugby World Cup, watching Scotland v SA, waited until half time & asked her. Did the one knee thing but there was nobody else to see as was in the lounge at the time.

A bit spur of the moment but she kept bringing me beer & I felt happy.

    Don’t regret it 🙂

when an ex asked if I wanted her flat mate to join us; I figured it was a trap and said no.

Still now, 15 years later I can hear myself say it & think no, no, no don’t say that 🙁 Esp as the flat mate was much hotter – oh well

Four4th’s jobbie on the handlebars & joystick on the helmet, I really find the two lights make a difference.

The bar light is wide beam, the joystick more focused.
