You don’t always need to look for SS specific parts. Most are interchangeable. Eg, take two rings off of a triple and as for the rest, don’t buy any gears. I also suggest a fixed rear wheel. Much better than trying to stop with a rear brake. If your only going to have one brake, front is always better on a fixie.

It’s not as complicated as the geeks would like you to believe. Extend without hyper extension. Rotate without hip roll.
Knee problems can often be related more to cleat position or shoe fit. Less likely to be seat height IMO.

I have to. Agree with the majority here. I have elixir 3’s and they are constantly needing the callipers re-centring. Doesn’t matter how good I get them , every other ride I’m pissing about with them again to stop them binding or stealing. PITA.

I always try to find a speck case for whatever I’m using. They aren’t hardcore battle proof but great quality, tough and fit perfectly.
