Because he did not use the term “juxtaposition” in his synopsis. It may not be able to be considered art. Then again, the piece itself is now irrelevant because the fact it’s being discussed/debated here has already concreted his claim.

Ending your sentences with a question could get you into a never ending conversation, couldn’t it?

It’s difficult to end a sentence that is a question as anything other than a question. 🙂

The level of incompetence is quite alarming. I had my fence “deconstructed” (just for you Formerly Known As) during a police car chase. The attending officer came by later to take my statement and asses damage. I provided a quote to repair the fence and this was included with my statement.
The case went to court and the perps were slammed up n s**t. However, my statement and claim for fence repairs was never submitted and consequently I received bugger all. Later I contacted the police and asked what was happening. They informed me of their oversight, apologised and offered to pay the costs out of their funds. I told them they needed the money more than me and let it go.
My point though is if you press the issue and get to the right person, they are usually quite accommodating. Obviously, someone has told you a complete load of old……… and once you reach someone who recognises that, they will most likely want to make it right.
Asking for their decision in a written statement is a good step in the right direction.

Damn, there was a dead deer on the M66 near Haslingden this morning -should I have picked it up?

Only if you’re looking for a new apartment.

If he says it’s art. It’s art. Whether you appreciate it as such is purely your prerogative.

When you sell anything to Crack Converters you have to provide your personal details and complete a statement that you actually own the goods you are selling to them.
Of course there isn’t a single smack head out there that would sign that form and openly lie in order to get cash for a wrap or two. And I’m not talking about Cajun chicken wraps either.

Trawls various forums looking at wanted sections then e-mails you asking you to contact him – then Bam, he’s got you!

Don’t know what you mean? Are you saying I’ll be trapped in a conversation I won’t be able to end?

The act of letting go opens up endless possibilities. If you can’t let go. You can’t move forward.

IMHO the downs, although good…ish, aren’t worth doing the ups for. ( Monkey ).
This must be the guy on the full susser who was resting at the top of a climb and quickly jumped ahead of me onto a decent as I came up.
    Then fell off.

When you say really big. What’s your base for comparison? Because a really big bee, in my mind, would be about the size of a VW bug.

Already tried that LapSteel. Did not work. As you could read in my post, I removed the power supply from the PC. Obviously that would entail it being powered down for several minutes. This is not a reset issue. Some component is faulty as a result of the spike when I switched the power back on.
    Cheers for the though though.

Most of what’s been said above I’ve already tried excluding replacing the power supply. Maybe that’s worth a try.
    Cheers geeks.

The “so” at the start of your sentences is superfluous.
    No idea regarding electric heating.

The clue is in the name. It’s not a race so don’t worry about anyone else. Go out ride for yourself and if you get really tired and want to stop. DON’T. Dig deep and finish is all that matters.
Edit: Hang on. I just realized you called it a race. I though enduro was a challenge only. Am I wrong? After googles help I guess I am. So just remove the, it’s not a race bit, and the rest still applies

You don’t need jointing paste on the female nuts with captive rubber washers. The thing you’re referring to from b&q was a compression nut and olive on one end. That’s the bit that would benefit from jointing paste. If it’s on anything that’s connected to the cold water supply it needs to be potable.

Just had a look at the boilermate. I would suspect the issue is with your boiler not the boilermate. What you describe is commonly referred to as kettling. It’s usually caused by poor flow through the boiler which leads me back to my original suspicion of a faulty pump or reduced flow due to contaminants.
Again. You need a good boiler/heating engineer.

    gears_suck

The pump is not running or not running properly or the system is sludged up.
Edit: not familiar with this boiler but is it a comb?
If so, may be any number of things. Eg. Diverted valve. Secondary heat exchanger scaling, overheat thermostat??
It’s really something someone who knows would have to look at to be able to exclude each potential problem to locate the correct fault.

Under 5k when mine was installed meant no need for a wall vent IIRR.

Only if you live in an older property. If your home is a new build (which are more airtight), you are required to have a minimum of 550 sq mm per kW of stove. It might not be much, but thems the rules.

I rode by a couple of gypsie kids (common enough round errr) one had his arm around a rather fetching girlie gypsie. As I approached, he said. “Can I have a go on your bike mate. To which I replied. Sure, if I can have a go on your girlfriend while you’re gone. He wasn’t as amused as I was.

Yeah. They are brilliant. I often wonder how plumbers ever got anything done quickly without one and also a wet vac. Best two tools I’ve purchased.

When we go to war with Russia we will defo need the Scottish to help out a bit.
But, I don’t have a vote so it doesn’t matter what I think.

Using end panels at the end of carcass runs is a great way to finish off and also provides a neat butting for the plinth.
Most kitchen designers and manufacturers spec this type of design.

I find the speed settings pretty redundant. Its more about the amount of pressure you apply to the cut. Besides, they aren’t designed for extended use so if the blade starts to overheat while you’re ripping a 4×2, back off and let it cool a bit. 😕

thetallpaul. ‘Twas only a joke. Don’t take offence.
The boiler in this case is not relevant. Draining down is generally required in order to change the whole valve, but not to replace the head alone. At this point, based on your questions, I recommend calling a heating engineer/plumber. If you know a good one or can get a recommendation it will be money well spent.
Edit: reading my previous comment again. It does sound a bit offensive. Apologies for that tallpaul. No, not a bad morning. I’m just generally a bit of an asshole.

    A. not talking about combi’s
    B. no diverter valve in op’s boiler.

Please be careful with other people, and consider that it may not be the best time to begin a new relationship

I wouldn’t worry about micro examining everything you do. You’re an adult. A fling might be just thing to boost your confidence.
Let whatever happens, happen. It might not work out but every step you take will be one further away from her shit.
You can’t stop her from having the relationship so just focus clearly on the kids welfare and understand that they will have issues you’ll need to very level headed about.

Non of this is helping the op. We could discuss trv’s all day long. Evidently, we all know how they work. Once again, the problem is most likely as above.

    gears_suck

Not sure what you mean cynical. 🙂 The TRVs aren’t the issue here. The problem is that the rads are getting hot although there is no heating demand. When the hot water cylinder is calling for heat the rads are also heating up. The most likely explanation for this is as above.
If there was a problem with TRVs it would be completely independent of the issue the op has described and would need to be dealt with after this problem is first resolved. Also, highly unlikely that every TRV would be faulty.

    gears_suck

Not the trv’s. As above, almost certainly the 3 port valve. Should cost between £180 – £250 to replace. If it’s a Honeywell, you might be able to replace only the motor.

The simple fact is. You don’t know who bodged it and you probably never will. Get it safe and move on. It’s just one of those things that **** do to someone they know they will never have to answer to.
    Let Karma do the rest.
Edit. This is based on the realisation that it would be near impossible to prove intent or malice on the part of your vendor.

Maybe the reason they changed your meter was because it was not recording your usage correctly. Now you might be paying for the correct amount. If so, you lucked out before the change. Ask a neighbour with similar lifestyle what their consumption is. If its close to yours you’ll have a good idea its on the money.

Ha ha. You’re a card eh wrightyson. I haven’t dismissed your suggestion as incorrect as you did mine. I was merely trying to help the OP with my version of many solutions.
I didn’t realize we were in a competition.
Anyhow, OP you could consider marking your fixing points making holes at those points and injecting some bond or resin type filler adhesive. After that is set, you will have a solid and well supported point where you can drill and fit proper anchors without the worry that the board might break or collapse around the anchor point.
And waits for girlie response from manly builder!
