I’ve used their online store to buy a set of Bose Bluetooth headphones, A grade by CEX standards. The headphones arrived basically brand new, that was over a year ago and I still use them most days with no problems yet.

Are ride permits obtainable in the car parks?

Thanks for the advice. I guess we will try Swinley first and then head into the Surrey hills once she’s getting the hang of it. 🙂

Well, shock arrived and fitted today. Runs a treat and has seen me through the best day of riding I think I’ve ever had.
Once more a big thanks to LoCo and a strong recommendation from myself for LoCo Tuning!

    Thanks all.

could you rent just a shock?

Unfortunately not, the only shop that rents them doesn’t have one in my size. :S

    @Teeto, Thanks for the offer mate but mine’s a 200×51 I’m afraid.

@LoCo, Dropping you an email buddy.

Well, I’ll pad it with towels and clothes obviously. Surely it can’t take any more of a beating than a good bail?
It’s more the wheels I’m worried about ‘cos I have DT Rev spokes which are pretty skinny.

Don’t know about weapons, we never actually saw them but the local police had been called out about 1/2 an hour prior as someone had reported 2 men in balaclavas loitering around our local area.
I imagine it was an organised raid of our area. Stealing one car might suggest they’d been opportunistic but knowing where to take 2 stolen cars suggests they knew what they were doing. Either that or the cars will likely turn up wrecked/burnt out over the next couple of days.
Thanks god for insurance is all I can say – can’t imagine esure are gonna be too chuffed with a claim of around £50k!

You can get almost all of Stans rims in white from Wiggle. The rims on my Commencal are Stans Crest which seem perfect as a strong and light rim so far.

Ask on the forum for one. People tend to have spare ones lying around and you’ll get one for a tenner or so.

Contour HD 1080 helmet cam, Salsa lip-lock to accompany the new i900, a bottle of nice Champagne, a couple of nice shirts and a new mouse for the PC.
Main present was a 50″ Samsung 3D Plasma that I got a little while ago 😀

That Ukranian tractors book isn’t actually a whole book about tractors in Ukraine btw. It’s hilarious though.

    Really good book that one!

Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t an Orange 5 have 5″ of travel?

In my book that’s 127mm of travel, seems a bit much to get a new bike for 7mm less travel.

    Apologies if I’m wrong.

I know it’s shocking to say but get a USE suspension post. I got one that was pretty much new from eBay and it’s excellent if you want a little comfort without the weight. I was riding a carbon frame with a 31.6 seatpost that was stiff as a telegraph pole and about as comfortable (now on a 29er Scandal with a 27.2 post and the difference is night and day).

It’s never going to replace a FS but by the end of the week you will be thanking me. They are coil / elastomer also so nothing to really go wrong with them. I only put mine on the bike when it’s going to get a beating or some serious mileage is on the cards.

this bike not only looks amazing but performs great on & off road with confidence & speed in any situation.

I have achieved the strongest, smoothest most reliable 100mm travel, full suspension bike ever, that rides & handles like a dream
Erm, yeah if you say so 😆

Contacts are great until mud gets in your eyes, you rub them and then the lenses come out or break. Rather stick an old pair of glasses on if I’m not doing something too intense.

I’d also recommend avoiding the Oregon.
Used one on a ski helmet and the mounting was crap, quite a heavy camera too.

Bit more than a £100 but you can get the ContourHD helmet cams off eBay from the US for a lot cheaper and many sellers will mark a low value on the package so it isn’t caught by customs.
These come with a flat surface mount and a goggle mount but you can get a vented helmet mount/bar mount separately for not too much.

    how about a cable car?

Is there a direct link to the ground?
Definately can’t have a cable car I’m afraid. I thought the whole idea was to be flying whilst in the act?!

Does vimeo not rely on flash when embedded into a forum/blog?
If you’re jailbroken then install Frash but otherwise (if it is flash based) you’re buggered.

Buy an amp and then upgrade the speakers once you have the money to do so.

I have a Sony STR-DH800 which is brilliant. Alternately look at Onkyo or Denon.
Speaker-wise, for a cheap 5.1 set maybe start out with Tannoy SFX and then move onto bigger things when you see fit. I personally run a Mordaunt Short Alumni 5.1 setup which, for the money, is epic.
Best advice I could give is not to skimp and end up wishing you had spent more in future (especially on an amp).

For more info have a browse on avforums, they have a pretty good classified section too if you want to go second hand.

    At speed?!

You can’t really judge how it’ll perform on a smooth road at a steady pace.
Give it a blast round some singletrack, that should give it a good testing.

Quidco give 4% for CRC and 2% for Wiggle, probably not as much as TC.
