If you're a guy, you better be bloody good to pull that off, otherwise it just looks like you're trying to hard. I seen a kid on a similar coloured bike (plus pink tires) at glentress, he was hitting the top of the wallrides so got away with it!

My mates son (15yo) was getting slagged off by some guy at Innerleithen for having a pink 224. He asked the guy to try and keep up with him on the way down. He couldnt and when the guy got to the bottom the wee man just shook his head, said 'mincer' and cycled away. Quality!!!

The flange on my front hub broke when braking. Phoned Hope, explained what happened and they replaced the body free of charge. Hub was nearly 2 years old.

Phoned Hope as I was concerned about using an LX cassette on the Pro11 hub and they said it would be fine. It would mark it slightly but no more than that.

Im toying with the idea of upgrading the fork lowers. Dont know if its worth the £140 though.

Im about 6’2, about a stonne lighter and ride a 20″ Five. I havent noticed any flex at all. I tried an 18″ and felt it was a little small so I decided on the 20″.

I used mine for the merida enduro events and had no probs. If anything, for those type events, I would change the tyres to something a bit narrower.

Ruptured cruciate ligament 16 years ago meant my football ‘career’ was over. A couple of years sitting drinking beer, watching football on telly meant I put on about 3 stonne. Decided I had do do something and bought a GT Avalanche.
