Picked up the outwell nevada m tent, carpet, extension and footprint for 150. Bargain.
Saw one woman try to grab the last one from a pensioner. Couldn’t believe what i was seeing.

I was also wondering if it’s worth the hassle. My experience with most of the sales are that it’s the sh1te they put out or they only have 1 or 2 decent items and they are snapped up by the the staff or their family.

Tom Ford and Tom Ford Extreme are my personal favs. He does a range of blends that are very expensive and despite the price, some were not that pleasant.

Central belt is to get battered again overnight, but you should be fine if you take your time.

I found myself using the cafe less and less as it was becoming too expensive. Harsh as it may seem, Im not really interested in having the cafe or the even the bike shop and the captive market that we have become just encourages them to charge what they want. Their food is good, but £2 / £3 for a roll, a bit greedy if you ask me. As for the bike shop, that’s just as bad.
Why dont people just stick some basic spares and a couple rolls in their camelback and go ride their **** bikes. We are becoming a pampered lot and some will soon be complaining that the leaves dont get swept from the trails or that they want a cafe/bike shop in the middle of the Pentlands.
Before I get slated for my comments, I also think the way they have been treated by the FC is harsh after all the work they put into the place.

Been using the cosmo and its a great piece of kit. I wont use endura anymore as I had problems with the stiching on 2 pairs of baggies and a pair of gloves.

Code isn’t working now. Went to purchase a soft shell and it displayed the discount but didnt apply it. Message at top of the screen saying code not valid. Bollocks. Maybe the code isn’t for general use and they have put a stop to it.

Munque-chick, you are spot on. I got a Berghaus Mera Peak along with other gear to do the WHW about 6 years ago. Before I knew it, half the Neds in the area were wearing them.

I wasn’t impressed with it for anything other that dry conditions. Used R n R extreme and found it didn’t last either. Going to go back to Finishline Wet or Pedros.

4th time I’ve done Ruthin and Sunday’s conditions were the worst I have encountered there. Forgot to change my tyres after doing Kielder and conti race kings made for an interesting day. Unless it was on the road, I was fighting with the bike all day and I dont know how many times I was off. Hurt my knee a few miles past the 2nd feed station and any enjoyment disappeared.

Just checked the results and i dont appear to be on the list at all. Where did you have to go after crossing the finish line?

Done it in about 13 hrs and Im fecked. Made the 1st cut off with 35 minutes to spare, the 2nd in plenty of time and the 3rd by 2 minutes. The last 20 miles were terrible for me but I just kept plodding along.

Filter out the distance you competed in and then sort by rider time. Gives you an adea where you finished.

Had it for a few years and was taking allupurinol, stopped taking it and started drinking 3-4 pints again at the weekend. Got another attack but this time in my ankle and it is the most painful thing i have suffered from. Back on the meds, cut down on the beer and im ok now. Drink plenty of water and have some strong anti inflammatory tabs handy.

Seperation, its one big roller coaster of emotions. I walked away about 18 months ago and everything James said is true.

Dont argue or criticise their mum in front of them either.

You WILL also find out who your REAL friends are too. Im in the same position regarding the finances but moved back to my parents and gave the ex the option to buy me out or sell up and split the equity when she can afford it. Id rather it wasnt sold as I dont want the kids uprooted.

I met someone about a year ago and Iv never been happier in a relationship than I am now.

Not done as much as a I would have liked but done three / four 30 to 40 mile road runs a week for about the last 2 months. Been doing some interval training on the the exercise bike which can only help. Entered the 100k Selkirk CRC and Im looking to do that in 5hrs. The last few years have cut off to the 75k due to lack of fitness so this year I know I will complete it but hope to do a decent time. Will give me an idea as to how i'll do at the Keilder.

Get the op mate. I went down the physio route and because it kept dislocating, Iv stretched the lateral and medial ligaments. No problem biking and do a bit of running now and again but 5 a side footie causes my knee to swell up the following day.

Id try Almax Security. Some demos on their site which shows them trying to crop their own chains. They crop the Kryptonite chain in seconds!!! They would need to go some to break one of these bad boys. Not cheap and they are quite heavy though.

Just started using slx after no end of grief from race face deus. I got mine from Ribble for £55 which to me is a bargain but you dont get the BB though. Shifting is spot on so no complaints. As for weight, go for a dump before you go riding. As for the 'bling' aspect, if you can afford it then why not.

I have a Vrs which a use for teaching in. The engine light could be a sticky EGR valve. Due to the regulations on the emissions, VW hade to use a certain size gasket on the EGR valve and this caused a slight stutter at about 1800 to 2000 revs. Due to the valve being gummed up, my engine light has been on for about 40,000 mls and has done over 131,000 and accoding to the dealer it wont do any harm. Engine runs great too.

Only once have I the temp light come on and just topped up the coolant level and it was sorted. Apparently, they are extremely sensitive to any drop in the level.

Iv had the same problem with my RF Deus cranks. Only way I can get them tight enough was to put a 2.5 mm spacer on the non drive side. Its now a very fine line to get them tight enough to stay on and being able to spin them freely. Had enough of them so ordered some Shimano slx.

Was planning on going to Innerleithen and doing a few laps of the xc course or just doing miles on the road but my cranks are fecked (re my post about Race Face cranks coming loose). Ordered some slx from Ribble for £55. Walking 2 Munros (Bein Ghlas and Ben Lawers)instead so should be a good day providing the weather holds up.

About 2.5 / 3 hrs max from Armadale so depending how long it takes you to get onto the M8, it will be about the same from Edinburgh.

The girlfriend was at the end of each lap to hand me some munchies or it would have been a diet of gels!! Gave me an idea as to where im at for fitness as Im using these events as training for the Keilder 100.

You are right about it being a mental thing though and now I know what to expect at Kirroughtree. Going to do laps of the red and black at Glentress at least once a week, with road miles in between to build up my fitness.

After taking your advice about 10 UB, I managed 5 laps, which I was disappointed with. Planned for 7 and took an hrs break after 4. On my 5th lap, I felt I was going backwards on the long fire road climb and I fell off a few times in the rooty sections due to tiredness. Enjoyed it though and I think I will be going to Kirroughtree.
