    Endura FS260 Pro Cycling Shorts

they come with the 600 series pad which is rated for great for long days in the saddle.

I’ve had mine for 4+years and they are still in tip top shape. Definitely worth the money

a more effective use of your time would be to campaign for a “right to roam” policy similar to the one in Scotland.

They aren’t building a new climb. They are making the current one more sustainable by building a proper path through the woods to the reservoir.

The easiest way to remove the residue is to stick a new bit of gorilla tape on it. The new tape will lift the residue although it might take a couple of goes to lift it..

Rather than moaning about something that you cant stop.. It would be better to mobilise teams to clear the trails once the logging has finished. It’s not going to be a simple task to get them back up and running but its not that difficult if there are decent numbers of people there to help.

The biggest problem is that the amount of people willing to put in the effort is significantly lower than the number of people who moan about the destruction.

drill it out from the back side rather than the head side. 9 times out of ten the drill will jam and that will free the bolt and spin it out.

Raceface Ambush. Excellent coverage, very comfy, not too warm.. You can remove/fit them without taking your shoes off.

a few years a go a flat above me was rented out to a couple of kids. They decided to have parties every night of the week and despite constant visits by the police, it continued.

In the end i pulled out the main fuse for the power supply to their flat. They never could work out how they kept having power cuts when everyone elses flat was unaffected.

    It did the trick :-)

Lake 303’s here, just about worn out after many winters abuse and falling to pieces so just taken delivery of some new 304’s.

I’ve also just bought a shoe and glove drier from amazon that really helps shorten drying times for 5:10’s and the Lakes.

The 304’s look pretty good.. are they much heavier than the 303’s?

Currently, Hammertime is probably more challenging than most stuff at Thornielee. I rode it a few weeks back and it was an unrideable slopfest..

    Westminster is an embarrassment

    its going to fail,

    it wont get approved,

EU wont give an extension so we will end up barrelling towards a no-deal.

Last minute revoke of article 50 will save the day.

the DHR2 starts and stops fine in mud. It’s my all year, all conditions tyre. The only thing it struggles with is snow.. but then theres no real cure for that.

all your rear tyre has to do is stop you.. so you want something that is designed for that job. Minion DHR2 is the boss in that category IMHO

The front tyre is for control and steering. In mud i go for a Michelin wild mud. It is outstanding in wet and muddy conditions without being horrible to live with. I’ve ran one in 28c heat on shale and it was still decent (flat white – caberston – tweed valley)

Different trail and ground types require different solutions. I tend to ride steep technical rocky, mucky, Scottish slop..

Thornielee will be in better condition as it doesnt get ridden as much as inners/golfie etc.. Its worth riding all the trails there.. they are awesome.

At the golfie avoid waterworld (tree down), Repeat Offender (lots of puddles at the start), all the Wolf’s (tend to hold water) everything else should be fine.

ran a wild enduro front for a while. paired it with a DHR2 out back. Previously I ran a MM soft up front. I found that the Enduro was noticeably more sketchy in the wet compared to the MM. In the dry it was never quite as confidence inspiring either, especially on marbles.

I’ve gone back to a MM up front and put the enduro on the rear. It is suffering from similar issues on the rear though. It doesnt grip as well as the DHR2 and braking performance is noticeably reduced. I heading back to a DHR2 as soon as it wears out.

The wild mud is an awesome tyre though. Its much better in slop that the MM or a shorty

Rear shock is showing just over 25% sag as well. I backed off the rebound to almost zero (all the way to the hare – then 3 clicks towards tortoise).

Off is all the way to slow then turn towards fast to increase.

weight in lbs/7 to get max pressure. The sweet spot will be below that.

mine is front (-8) Rear (-2) on soft ground. Front (-4) Rear (-0) on hard ground.

VW Transporter LWB will take 4 adult sized bikes fully built and allow you to keep the middle row of seats. if you pull out the single seat in the rear you can use the space to store bags etc..

if you struggle to get the right size on both calf and thigh its worth trying raceface ambush pads. Because they are split rather than a sleeve you have much greater control over tightness and fit. And they can be put on or removed without having to take your shoes off..

If you have trailforks and your phone is registered with the text 999 service.

If you go into the menu and click on emergency info tab. it will send the emergency services a text which gives your gps co-ordinates as well as a direct link to your location on trailforks. You can actually send it to any number.

Its been used successfully in Canada recently and made the press.

they will work fine but the volume will be half that of 4 ohm speakers as the 8 ohm have twice the resistance.

Dual compound DHR2. works well on pretty much everything from dry to slop.
