The former President of the European Parliament, Pat Cox, has said an independent Scotland could negotiate continued membership of the European Union in the timescale set out by the pro-independence Scottish Government.
“Done thoroughly and expeditiously an internal enlargement could be negotiated during this interim period between the referendum and the independence of Scotland in 2016,” Cox wrote in an article for The Scotsman newspaper Tuesday.

last time I looked.. Con/Dem were in charge of Westminster and SNP were in charge of Holyrood….. They are hardly the same people…

if you put too high a pressure in the tyre when you are trying to get an initial seal.. it will stop the sealant from beaing able to work..

Pump the tyre up high enough to get the bead into place then drop the pressure to about 30-40psi and do the stans dance. leave the tyre for about an hour then check the pressure.. if its down to about 20psi.. leave it overnight and check again in the morning..

if its still about 20psi in the morning.. pump it up to your desired running pressure.. if its significantly lower than it was before.. pump it back up to 30psi and use fairy liquid to find the leaks… maybe add more stans solution and repeat the above until it is totally sealed…

Scotland only contributes more to the UK if you include at Oil/Gas revenues. If you look at personal and business taxes the Scots pay less. Oil and Gas are revenues aren’t monies paid by Scots, they are the resources of the UK. We discussed this a while back.

Not per head we don’t.. even with oil and gas removed we still pay in more than the UK average..

It still amazes me that so many people south of the border are under the impression that Scotland is subsidised by the rest of the UK..

It’s not really such a bad idea… It’s simply more difficult to get up and running as quickly as using a tradable currency such as the GBP..

Squealing brakes in wet weather is due to a lack of heat in the pads. This can be due to the compound of the pads… It’s normally nothing to worry about..

It’s worth replacing the pads with genuine parts as (IMO) 3rd party pads never have the same performance..

The thing I find misguided about the use of that marketing tool in this case is how it is intended to target a single sex when our sport is open to both. It has used a cheap, outdated trick and in the process has managed to pretty much exclude an already under represented half of the population.

Kudos to Enve for investigation the issue and finding a solution.. The chances are that, the wheels that were on test, were probably prototypes or early production models. So they may or may not have been up to same standard as the finished articles…

Just like the 650b threads…. just because you cant afford to buy them.. it doesnt mean that they are pointless.. There is a reason that they are available and the people who use them are able to see the benefits. They are lighter, track better and accelerate faster than alloy rims. Put those together and you will see performance increases..

It’s not a question of whether or not they are worth the money.. If you can’t afford them.. You will never know.. Just stop being a whiney little bi*ch and go ride your bike.

was up the golfie yesterday, was weird because the climb up footfault was very dry and ride-able but the trails were disgustingly slick and muddy.

Right, so the boulder field has been removed and the scary drop onto the fireroad on Jawbone has been avoided…I suppose they would be downright dangerous if you’re riding at race speed!

The boulder field is still there.. its a bit muddy and cut up though.. The new exit points up towards lower jawbone, which is the next part of the stage..
