Thats an early attempt.. i have a couple of different alloy adaptors ordered to see which one works the best.. They are going to need the light to be drilled and tapped so that should be interesting

it runs of a ryobi 18v battery and has a big enough tank to hold water for 2-3 bikes..

Cant fault it at all… Good build quality, decent pressure, adjustable spray nozzle, does everything i need it to..

I used these last winter and they are really good.. They keep your hands nice and warm and dry..

Pair them with a pair of Lake 303 boots and you are prepared for anything :-)

The prices in the new cafe are liable to be pretty expensive… The rent for the cafe is pretty steep and the visitor numbers aren’t that high..

The new cafe aint cheap but the food is really good.. If you want a greasy spoon.. the whistle stop cafe along the road is probably a better bet..

Saffron on the hish street is really good but you need to book.. They only have about 12 places…

Well, I’ve just changed the chain on my X01 at the 0.5 chain stretch after 600 miles and the 42t cog jumps like crazy on the steep climbs, put the old chain back on and it appears fine. So should I just run the old chain and chain ring / cassette into the ground or should I try replacing the 42t cog? Found an Italian website which appears to offer a replacement, but can’t find any other info on whether it works or not. Although at 90 euros its a lot cheaper than buying a whole new cassette, but is it worth the gamble?

I’ve not long changed my xx1 chain for an x01 chain and now it’s doing exactly the same as yours.. I wonder if there is something weird about the X01 chains that causes the issue

The only problem you will have with the ardent is that they tear very easily.. Ideally you should go for something with a tougher sidewall..

HR2 up front, WTB Vigilante on the rear. Great combination in soft conditions.. For mud.. change the front to a Magic Mary

Ive got a Cube SuperStereo 160sl.. I’m running a HR2 3c maxxterra up front and a WTB Vigilante on the rear..

I was running an ardent before and whilst it was good in trail centre stuff.. It was next to useless on natural trails. The vigilante is much better. It’s not draggy and it bites in much better than the ardent.

for the winter im going to a magic mary + vigilante..

Great light, good build quality (better than most of the chinese crap), Decent 6 cell battery (lasts 2.5-3 hours on max)

I’ve got the new met.. It’s pretty good, fits well and is pretty sturdy..

The only downside ive found is that it is hot when there is little or no breeze around.. Significantly hotter than a standard helmet..

when there is a breeze.. its perfectly fine.. the vents do a great job of directing the air into the helmet..

It’s never going to be my go-to lid but it’s a good middle of the road helmet between a proper full face and a standard one..

No, because the 42t is almost solid, to close the back of the cassette, it would weigh a ton if it was steel. You’ll need a conventional cassette construction to get a steel 42t.

I still think it’s a red herring though, I barely use mine, and maintain that if one is using it regularly you’d be best downsizing your chainring.

^ This…. having an alloy 42t isnt an issue if you have the correct gearing for your fitness… if you need to use your 42t too much.. you should change your chainring..

X1 still has an alloy 42t

The hate on display by some on this site makes me feel very sad and disappointed.

I dont see it as hate.. I see it as jealousy.. Their lives are so pathetic that they cant stand to see others stand up for what they believe..
