Chuckle Vision was brilliant and one of my favourite kids shows. I still laugh at it now.

I’ve only been to the Isle of Wight once on a day trip from Portsmouth.

The garlic farm was good and we had lunch there. The food was good quality and value. We also went to Adgestone Vineyard. It’s small and the wine is ok, but it’s a nice place to spend some time on a sunny day drinking very cold white wine.

It’s not over until 22:00. Keep the faith.

Thanks for the supportive messages. I spoke to my manager yesterday. The meeting went really well with support being offered and my requests being respected. Last night I slept well for the first time in weeks.

Is there an update from MCM?

If they’re heading down the M6 they’ll be passing me any minute now. I feel we should be cheering them on from motorway bridges along the way.

I had the same problem and got something like these pads.

It took a couple of games to get used to them and I had to replace them every few weeks but they did make the difference. I used micropore tape to keep them in place.

The forest lodges at Glentress are ok if you want basic accommodation. The last couple of times I’ve stayed at the Cardrona Hotel. It’s a short drive back to town but it has loads of parking and bike storage. I’ve had some cheap deals on dinner bed and breakfast.

I had the same thought. I’ve moved the good stuff to somewhere else.

It’s not a bike I would want, but it looks well looked after and somebody might be missing it this morning.

I have a set on my rigid mtb. It’s a 2006 Orange Gringo frame built up with budget parts. The clarks breaks have been good for the money. They’ve been on the bike for a year and have been good for a few rides on the moors near Burnley and for running around town and to the pub.

No real problems with them. Easy to fit.

The audio book versions of his autobiographies are brilliant. They are about 8 hours each.

    Enjoy

If you like motorsport there is the Jim Clark museum in Dunns just over the border in Scotland. I’ve not been for years but I remember it being small but interesting. It would be a short stop on a trip up to Eyemouth.

If the tide times work then spending time on Holy Island when the tide comes in is lovely  most of the day trippers leave and you have the place to yourselves.

The other recommendations all seem really good and it has reminded me why I need to plan another trip back to Northumberland.

If you’re worried then call your council to ask if they have a pest control service. Lancaster City Council sent a man to look at the bees we had and he explained that they are harmless and will move on in a couple of weeks. The council also fixed a wasps nest in the loft. I think it cost about £50 to get rid of the wasps and when it was bees it didn’t cost anything.

I’ve got 2 spare split pins and 1 retainingbolt with the little washer. They are for Elixir 1. If you still need them let me know.

Atkinsons in Lancaster is brilliant. They also do a subscription service so you get different beans every month.

We’ve got 2 at the moment. Both are brilliant.

When we bought our first house we got one of the cheap Ikea mattresses. It lasted for 9 years and it was only the last year that it became uncomfortable.

It’s rubbish for the workers who will be impacted if it closes but I agree that it shouldn’t be propped up by the state.

The money should be spent on helping the staff get into other jobs quickly.

I hot one of the Karrimor jackets in November. It’s been great and really well priced. It doesn’t pack down quite as small as my partners Rab and you would need to buy a stuff sack to store it. It’s been keeping me warm and toasty without over heating.

Didn’t we all think the same thing about carrier bags? Now almost everyone has a reusable bag for shopping. The need the reduce waste is so high it’s time we start using reusable cups and water bottles.

I work at a university and the number of those single use cups in bins and left in communal areas is almost unbelievable.

I’m struggling today. It’s been building up for a few weeks but this evening I missed a deadline for a job application because I spent 3 weeks talking myself out of it.

We moved house earlier this year and it will be the first time ever that we are doing Christmas at our house. I know this means I should be happy but I have felt the dark cloud building.

I keep telling myself that it’s only a few more days and it will all be over for another year.

I have enjoyed every second of it. But I’m glad they have finished the story with enough to go back to for a special episode if they ever wanted to. It’s better than the current trend to keep a series going because it’s popular, not because it is still brilliant.

This place is run by a friend of a friend. He went up to see the wolves and said it was brilliant. They do have some bird of prey experiences.

It was only a few years ago (more like 20) that it was me doing wheelies down the high street and riding over picnic benches in the park. I’m sure I’m not the only one on here who wishes I could still do that and hates the yoofs for being able to.
