I think the 7.4 was wrong, it was never heavier than a Five which is 6.8 for a medium.

    Mud X.

I hate mud tyres for the reasons ADH listed, was pleasantly surprised by the Mud Xs…

I've always ran triple mechs with the limiter screw maxed out.

Pretty sure the police are treating this as missing person, not man hunt.

Nice bloke, hope he turns up!

Lived in Redland and Cotham, very nice and not quite Clifton prices and better access to to the centre and Gloucester road.

Redland, Clifton and Cotham are good for Ashton Court/Leigh Woods access too!

There's also a bit of a grey area, as Web design and learning to build websites are quite different and not exactly interchangeable terms.

Someone who can build a website isn't necessarily a web designer although they might well call themselves one.

And most courses that teach you how to build a website (listed as web design courses) will most likely teach you chuff all about actual design.

My advice would be to learn how to build a website using online resources. Then invest in some books or maybe do some actual design courses to apply design knowledge to building websites.

he hasn't worked withor recruited anyone who has useddreamweaver for years.

This is kind of bollox. Dreamweaver is a perfectly usable text editor with handy built in FTP. I hand code with the best of them and I use dreamweaver because it does the job and comes with Adobe CS. To not hire someone because they use dreamweaver is missing the point a bit and says more about said employer than it does the people that use it.

I liked the Slackers article – found myself agreeing with that in a big way and been thinking that same thing for a while!

To be fair to the CdF, I'd ride it down some things I wouldn't ride a normal cross bike down.

It's a bit like comparing a racey flat bared hardtail to a long travel HT.

I'm always surprised at what it will happily go down trail wise.

I think it makes a lot of sense if you have a lot of genuinely testing offroad local to you but linked with a lot of road and tracks in between.

I was sceptical about the discs but they are a useful if weighty addition. I think the speed kings are more than to the job traction wise of coping with discs…

5 hrs to Coed-y-brenin and totally worth it.

I'd ridden there before and I think it's fine, perhaps a little overrated, but I had to go up that way for a REC first aid course in November last year so went a day early, figured I'd drive it with as scenic a route as possible, get a ride in and find my B&B.

Got there around midday on a Friday, deserted car park, not a single sole on the trails, cold misty day. Rode the Tarw and MBR trails in one hit and just had one of those rides where everything came together and flowed perfectly.

Probably the best ride I ever had. 😮

In preparation for this rapidly impending trans-generational jizz fest, I thought who better to ask than the men of STW?

    Fantastic!

I have no idea, I'm 27 and in a happy 11-year long relationship with first kid due in 8 weeks. If my prime is approaching or past I haven't noticed either way 😆

I'm the quickest I've ever been on a bike right now if that's worth anything!! 🙄

Funny how I really couldn't give a shit if my MTB has Shimano or SRAM, genuinely don't care.

Yet on the road bike, it pains me to using anything but Campag… 🙄 I think it's an ergonomics thing.

That said, Shimano road stuff is technically great but the Sora STIs are the exception, horrid things.

Never got on with Trailrakers, terrible on roots and rocks.

Ran some emergency purchase Mud Xs at 24/12, brilliant! Gained 15 mins a lap on the high rollers that came off. Seem to be good on roots and rocks too.

I'm sure the mentality of the roadies was to use this epic case of small man syndrome as a lovely tow home after a gentle afternoon century… 😮

I used a Light & Motion Seca 1400 for 24/12 – plenty bright enough on lowest setting and lasts 10 hours.

Ace, very singletracky, not very hilly, rooty and rocky a real technical riders course. One of the best courses you could ride if it's dry, not too bad if it's wet…

What about catching the train somewhere and riding home? Ok ours was a disaster at the time but we look back on the ride with joy now 🙂

Sudocream is rubbish IMO, just soaks in and disappears.

Assos got me through 24-12 with massive ease, I think I reapplied twice. I had some saddle sore for two days afterwards but I was never in any real discomfort in the race.

What you need goes beyond html and into the realms of server side coding I'm afraid, php, cgi, that sort of thing.

You need something along the lines of a PHP Form Mail type script.

Based on what you're saying, you're probably going to have some "fun" getting this to work I'm afraid.

This however, might save you: http://wufoo.com/

molgrips – the serifs aren't tapered, they're square edged.

Look at Times close up and then look at Rockwell close up and you'll see.

I wore the same pair for the whole of 24-12 solo, really can't complain… feet were surprisingly un-disgusting given I was wearing my Pearl Izumi Goretex boots for the 2nd half and it got very warm from about 10am onwards…

FF Unit Slab Pro is kinda nice in body text actually but it has a pretty distinctive look which is either going to work or not.

Come on, you used the words editorial and legibility.

Anymore hints on usage? Don't use anything fancy in body text, if you're after something fancy for headlines only, maybe get a bit more creative.

As a Bristolian I'm under the same water company Dorset and North Somerset, I see no personal benefit from supporting Poole, Bournemouth et al.

    Also, what Matt said…
