Kinesis are bringing out the G2 which is shipping in December. Should be a bit lighter than the Tripster but with full Sram hydro for £1500

My bike was locked for less than 3 hours on the traffic island by the triangle opposite Browns, decent lock though front and back wheels. Some **** must have come along with a set of allen keys and nicked my thomson stem and front disk caliper.  Made for a long walk home. Wallop is right, pub bike only for max peace of mind.

White Room are good. Been twice, riding mainly singletrack descents following van or skilift uplifts. Good social chalet with communal breakfasts and dinners with as much beer/wine as you want included, so no worries going alone.

Had similar problem 6 months ago. Would hear scurrying between lounge ceiling and bedroom floor, especially at night. Not wanting to pull up the floorboards, I bought an ultrasonic rodent scarer and some traps, plugged the device in underneath bed. Its like magic and I’ve not heard any furry visitors since or even unwrapped the traps.

Bought this one, but others are available

Some planes seem to be overly warm so shorts can be a comfortable option

Inov-8 in the standard fitting, rather than their narrow precision fit. I love my X-talons

Too late to hassle the seller. If they are comfortable then take them to your local shoemender and get them to re-glue the soles

I haggle with Virgin once a year and currently pay under £40 monthly for 70Mb broadband and the minimum phone and TV package (M for both). Tend to top up the TV with either cheap boxsets or Netflix/Amazon film deals through the winter which I let lapse when the weather peaks up in the spring. Looking at the results on broadband speedtest I get 70Mb and my broadband is way faster than other suppliers in the area (bristol). Haven’t found any other suppliers who can match it.

+1 Giffgaff. Also got the wife and kids on it as free calls and texts Giffgaff to Giffgaff as long as you top up at least £10 every 3 months.

The cheaper Winstanley bikes are the 2015 version without the boost hubs and with the less stretched out geometry.

Would like to give this a try. Can anyone recommend a good website with step by step instructions.

Is storage of renewable energy such a problem that the billions of pounds that are needed for Hinkley wouldn’t be able to sort it out?

A bit of shopping around could help – CRC have SLX brakes at £42 each and XT rotors at £17 making a set less than £120, saving you £80ish, just on brakes.

Pandemic is good, but maybe a bit difficult at 7 – my three (9, 11 and 13) will happily leave the computer alone for the time it takes to play. It is also cooperative so you either all win or all lose so less opportunity for argument

+1 for the Iberital grinder, and spend some time to learn to use it well.

The answer depends on the rest of your situation. Pay off debts first, then decide how long term any remaining can be invested for. SIPP for longest term then maybe shares in an ISA for 10 years+.

+1 for the Green Lentil Cottage Pie. Made a 6-person sized dish and finished most of it between 3 of us!

Ordered a pair of Flak Jackets with Prizm Trail lenses a couple of weeks ago before I saw this thread. Arrived today. Look genuine. Came with hard case and soft bag and spare nose grip rubbers, all in an Oakley box. Prizm lens makes everything look happy!

Another retired greyhound here. Gentle, lazy, but happy to run with me for 5k if we both feel like it, otherwise equally happy with once round the park.

I was looking at doing the same sort of thing. Moving the hot and cold feed was going to be simple, but moving the soil pipe from the front to the back of the house was going to make it very difficult. It came down to a choice of macerator toilet or leave things alone. So the bathroom stayed where it is.

Lift passes in summer are much cheaper than in winter, as most resorts only run a couple of the main lifts.

Another vote for ex-racing greyhound. Great pets. Only short walks required but loves a couple of 100 metre sprints in the park which is fantastic to watch. They don’t tend to be cat friendly but great with kids and other dogs. Useless guard dog – ours is so laid back that she doesn’t even get off the sofa when the doorbell rings, and never barks (except at cats).

Cider is about 200 calories per pint. Thats about the same as a pint of Guinness. It all adds up! Five pints would be about the same calories as a days food.

So Ti-pin man has got the buyer's cash and probably copies of the CDs. He's not bothered to get a free certificate of posting which would have insured him for £40. He won't refund the money (or even half the money) despite almost all posters siding against him. He's so sure of himself inspite of all this – he's not Gordon Brown is he?

I'd recommend getting them from Roger Musson – he tweaks them and sets them up. He also will them sort them if you have any problems.

I demoed a brand new ST4 and suffered chainsuck on the first ride where the chain got so tangled I had to loosen off the front mech to sort it out. Also found the bottom bracket a bit low – ended up clouting the pedals on lots of logs and stumps that I normally ride over with no problem. That said I really loved the fast ride, the zip going up hills and the confidence inspiring handling. Ended up buying a 5 which is not much heavier in a light XC build.

If you want it quieter, take off the freehub and add more grease.
