Bit of a hijack, has anybody else found getting good quality bearings for the
linkage plates a bit tricky? can get skf/enduros for the main pivot linkages etc
but these 628’s are a bit hard to get!

Yes,never had any bother with running them tubeless.

Or just get your local powder coaters to bead blast it!

just had my Hustler done, guy that painted it recommend leaving them
in so the pivots on the frame dont need cleaned up afterwords, just
drift them out after painting and fit new ones.

Bigrich mentions dropout change on later versions, i have one of the first batch
(no 29) and my dropouts are different to those shown in pics(mounting eyelet is
integrated rather than welded on)anyway had it a year past April and still reckon
its the best hardtail if not bike i have ever owned!For reference im 95kg and the bike gets pretty well hammered a couple of times a week.

sorry hijack! bumbly who is your local supplier? had a bit of a
hunt recently but ended up using betd, who i should say are not
cheap but sell enduro bearings which are good quality.

I have hope bb’s and rf cranks on both my bikes on one perfectly quiet,
the other needs the cups removed from the frame every few months and
the threads and bb shell cleaned up and regreased then quiet again!
Other bb’s rf etc dont creak in it only the hope ones( have tried both
bb’s in the frame and both creak,ti frame?),only difference i can see
to other makes is the lack off thread lock.
Should also say dont actually use grease,use copperslip and assembly paste!

Did use bbs years ago for engine bits and bobs, might pop in and
speak to them as well, not sure who Al was but remember thinking
they all looked like scary hells angels!(I was about 18 at the time).

Cables only jump out when too long and sram mechs dont
bang.

Have an 06 which i really like, was thinking about buying a new
frame recently but after looking/riding quite a few different
things decided it would be a waste of time so have bought an 09
rp23 and new bearings and am just about to get it repainted!
As above it rides everything great and would def recommend!

Joes rimstrips in mine with stans sealant, works perfectly!

hh the hamax mounts to the seat tube not seatpost, i have the hamax
seat but have always been concerned about fitting it to the ti456 as
i dont know if the tubing used on the seat tube is too thin!

14.5 stone kitted up, HR’s 2.35 single ply folding on DT 5.1’s run them at 36psi
and never had a problem.

have read that you need to file the fibrax and some others to fit! is this right?

I have to say that after riding my ti456 for a year the ragley
would have to be something awfully special for me to even consider
one!

I got the same email, phoned them and they said 2-3 day delay not the end of the world especially at the price.

Used HR’s,Advantages,Ignitors and Larsens with both Joes and Stans sealant
with no probs. The tyre in the pic is weirdly shiny!

o-ring could be worn, ck recommend changing periodically
(just changed them on both my ck headsets).

seem short (im also 6’3″ and from the couple of shots i’ve had it seems comfy).

My brother bought a 5.5.1 and loves it, from the shot i had its a cracking

After years of odi ruffians i have just fitted a pair of lizardskins chargers
and love them!

my brother bought a 5.5.1 recently and i love the colour, actually quite jealous
and now thinking about getting my boring black hustler brightened up!

They come with the medium spring, and are oem. I got a pair of mojo(they were on their clearance page but are no longer selling them)nice forks and the set compression seems just right i also have the rlc qr 15’s and would say im just as happy with the r’s.

Mojo had the same qr15 vanilla r’s on the clearance list of their
website till end of last week! sold with single spring and mojo
warranty.
