I've got an x9(about 9 months old) which does exactly the same ! replaced the cable,lever and lubed and adjusted the mech yet still sticks in 1st and 9th? works perfectly in-between and is definitely not bent. PITA

Im 6'3" 42" chest and have one of their lightweight smocks,
mine is xl and pretty loose but sleeves on the lge were really
short!stormrider may fit differently though.

Again 6'3" on a 20", had an 18" original inbred and it was fine for a short blast but torture on any ride over an hour!

Either are going to be draggy compared to a proper xc tyre(especially
the 42a stickies) but both are good tyres!2.2 rubber queen might suit.

daveob cove treatment? only person i know to have broken one
(he rode the seatpost too high!)had his frame replaced within
a fortnight!

Plenty protection and pretty light, i really like mine!
used to wear a met v element before and not much difference

with!guy above obviously not a fan, but his argument could apply to lots of bikes and with regards the hustler i have ridden similar travel kona's and nice as they were they didn't come close!

As fivespot says you should think about the Hustler, climbs great fantastic on singletrack and descends amazingly! Plus they seem
pretty bulletproof so good for big guys!

Dont have pics but ran mine with van 36's for a month or so,
found it wandered when climbing and would say its just better
with vanilla 32's.

I love mine, great all round bike!
140mm qr15 vanilla's climbs great, descends fantastically
and just makes me smile :D
