Should I race on a hard tail or full sus?

Would I be allowed to race in the open mens category… Incase I don’t get there in time, as the youth race is first.

I have just found the category list, and it says youth race 15-16 years, would I not be in this race?
My birthday is in February..

Get a old bike off someone that the gears and stuff are broken (something like the giant rapid i got.)
Fit a surly singleator and an on one conversion kit, maybe some nice avid v brakes.

Then you have a nice ss bike that looks crap, so will never get nicked.. :D

My bikes live inside… only so they don’t get nicked :x
