    plus one for Specialized grips

Rocca's FTW! linky Pic slighty misleading, the metal locking bit goes inboard, and the black plastic endplug goes at the other (outboard) end.

My son, and daughter have enjoyed using this[/url] very safely now
for the last two years. It's a big plus for them, to have a clear view ahead.

I also own a rear mounted seat (co-pilot limo) but have found it is very hard to have shared son and daughter moments (WOW look at that!!! etc..) when all they can clearly see is your arse.

The loct fits nicely on a FS bike too, with no frame knobbling clamps, it is, however, a bit dear…

Just remember who your passenger is and ride accordingly!

Myself, and the kids think its great :D

My recommendation has to be continental travel contacts. I have used them for years on my commute, and the Kevlar anti-puncture belt only let me down on one occasion. Great dual tread pattern for tarmac/tow-path use too.

I find both pairs of my Endura shorts (Zmyes and Singletracks) cut too tightly around the thigh, in-spite of the fact they are a very generous fit for me around the waist!
I am an "ahem" a larger gentleman with a "rugby player" build, fine if you are a whippet I suppose, but I can't personally recommend endura's for those with chunky legs!

My kneejerk reaction after reading the whole of this thread was to bin my subscription, the OP brought up issues which I believe were legitimate.

However 1, Mark has apologized and 2, The fact this thread is still open, demonstrates to me that STW is big enough to allow debate. Bravo! you've still got my subscription.

The question now :- is it appropriate to add "official Forum C&%k" to my sig?

Gab – Not sure how old you are, but as a kid over in Hessle, getting to see family and friends in Lincs was a serious mission until the bridge came in. It really kickstarted Hull again as a port too. Paying for itself, it isn't; useful, it is.

[rantmodeon] What really annoys me is having fiddle about with £1.20 every time I go across on the bike (the large one that goes vroom, that is) it was just about manageable when it was just a quid, but nooooooooo! some GENIUS thought it would be funny to make bikers have to bugger around with gloves and loose change. [/rantmodeoff]

Still it's never busy at the toll booths, more likely to see tumbleweed on the bridge than a traffic jam :-)

    Mines bigger than yours

Don't get me wrong, as a piece of engineering it's awe inspiring.
However from the financial point of view, it doesn't make sense, and probably never will

"I could be wrong but I think he uses a lye bath to shift it"

lye or caustic soda would be ok on steel, but does eat into aluminium though 8O (just ask Malcom when he cleaned Ogri's bike with it)

Got the five mode light, with UK charger here:-
    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.30864
    Took 5 weeks to arrive.
No problems with it so far, been using on the local trails quite a lot recently. Both button leds on back of the head operate, and the indicator on the charger goes from red to green etc… All works as advertised, :) well pleased for now.

For primer, acid etch from a rattle can is fine (U-POL acid #8 is excellent). Painting the colour with Halfords tins however, should not be confused with proper 2K (or two-pack paint), 2k is MUCH tougher, and IMHO has a finish far better than any powder coat.

Two pack cons :- Best find a friendly/local auto paint shop, to apply the 2K, as it is extremely toxic if breathed in 8O

Brazil – 1985 Terry Gilliam somehow gets Robert De Niro at the pinnacle of his acting career, and then sticks him in a balaclava so he is unrecognisable for 95% of the movie.. genius :D
