As I live just up the road, I would be rude not to…….

Close as I can get and fit the whole thing in.

P.S Thanks M.T.G for motivating me to get out, and ride today!

Oh btw I have a 2011 alloy Giant xtc 29er and it’s been holding up fine.

On a side note I also have a Giant Defy Advanced carbon, the non drive side bearing cup became unbonded after just 6 months frm new. I expected a new frame, however Giant U.K said F*** off, and dealer had glued it back in, got it back a few months ago not realy been out on it much since… Expected better :?

Just to chip in for a bit of balance, I have had good experiences with these (apart from being a bit dear now with the exchange rate what it is these days). Ground Effect submerino and Baked Alaska.

It may be a case of there being merino, and then there’s merino …..

May I suggest a Maxxis IKON 2.2 on the front paired with Maxxis ASPEN 2.1 on the rear. Nice and light + fast rolling.

Wow just wow…. someone from social services deffo needs to have a word with them both, their attitudes to parental responsibilities are way out of what can be considered acceptable.

Tollah from these parts does the nearest thing to a “forum” MTB calendar I’ve come across. I think he goes by the id of wokboy these days. Drop him a line. I’m sure he’ll have a link to a preview of this year’s effort.

John DeLorean’s life had some interesting ups and downs. Certainly had some highs, darling of the Thatcherites in the 80’s, at one time employer of around 2000 people in Northern Ireland, maker of arguably one of the most iconic cars ever made.
P&**ed it all away, and ended up in a dodgey hotel room trying to sell a suitcase full of cocaine ….. legend.

I own a pair, they are a bit fragile I’m afraid, bust one already (drive side) got a replacement but lost faith in them and religated them to the road bike (yes I know  ). I have a pair of the XT trail pedals, they are lasting much better.

So I can no longer sell a Dx bastid light on the classifeds? (a rip off copy of a lupine light if ever there was one!!!) or my tubless ghetto converted wheelset ’cause I didn’t use the proper genuine stans valves or tape?

Due to land around 05.31 GMT, so around 06.31 BST. I guess we won’t actually know if all’s gone well till around 18min later, think that’s the delay in radio comms frm mars.

Waits for someone to put me right, to the second :)

This sounds strangely similar to Giant’s overdrive2 stem sizing :-

ianc – great news your LBS did the swap for you, the Giant comapact frames do seem to come up a bit large :? Your new Medium looks right now (well it will do when you loose the spacers  )

Well I just brought a 2012 defy advanced 3 and was suprized to find I was a M/L, I’m 6’0 with a 33″ leg. For your fit, this is worth checking, Giant’s own site here:-
    http://www.shopgiant-bicycles.co.uk/564/products/2012-giant-defy-composite-1.aspx

And click on “SIZE ME”, their own sizing chart suggests you are easily a Medium.
