I was looking for the 2021 PEARL IZUMI GRAVEL X but Madison have just replied to my email, and they tell me they won’t be selling them in the U.K.

So thanks :) and as it happens I am a size 46, and so these are now in my check out.

I have a Ardent 2.4 it comes up huge! Easily as large in volume as my old conti rubber queens/Trail kings in 2.4. Sounds like you need the next size up.

Looked online for a few days, then almost as an afterthought rang my local independent.

They were extremely competitive vs online especially when adding up the fitting, balancing, and disposing of the old tyres.

Hi, just rode the blue at Dalby today with my 11 year old son, very pleasantly surprised to find 2 or 3 new sections been added recently.

Got big thumbs up from the lad, and after lunch he wanted a second lap.

A couple of tips we found worthwhile, the final berm finale can be ridden again, by turning left as soon as twisties finish (takes you up a access trail and comes out on the fireroad 15 yards below where the shared red/blue crosses), and lastly the skills loop at the end of the blue is worth a lap of two (It’s easy to miss, and ride by it)

Oh, and pines is a good ride for a young’un too :)

If you’re near Market Rasen Hamilton Hill is worth a look, also the strava heatmap of the area is your friend (toggle the labels ON in the layers though, otherwise its just a load of squiggles…..)

I hope I don’t upset this excellent thread by playing the “Who can tell me what this one is?” game.

I think people are being quite unfair to the op. I find his story quite enduraing.

Need to be quite far away to get all of said bridge in frame. Often go across on my road bike, as the riding on the south bank is lovely. If you listen carefully you can sometimes make out the faint sound of banjo’s, drifting across the river :)

+1 on the Bontrager R3’s. (You can get the less expensive R2 tubeless also) I found the Hutchinson Fusion 3’s not very durable, they were full of cuts in less than a 1000k

ive been in contact with raceware, is there already a non stem mount on their website for 35mm? if so im being blind i couldnt see one?

The “garmin mounts” section has a second page, (which I linked to in my original reply) The 35mm mount they list is a “low” type so probably not to your liking as it can’t be flipped around à la barfly 3.0.

However they did make me mount to my own specs last year, (they 3d print the mounts). I’m sure it’s worth you contacting them about making something to suit.

racewear direct do a 35mm Garmin mount, not quite what you were wanting I know, but perhaps they can knock you one up to order (I believe they 3d print the mounts themselves).

Anything wrong with the Pike RCT3 dual position?
I’m in the same boat as the Op btw, Stumpy evo with 150mm Revs looking to go new Pike rather than Fox 34.

The Bike barn [/url]at Dalby does a very nice off piste evening ride most Tuesday nights. I believe if you ring and book, you can rent lights and book a snack/meal afterwards.

I’ve found the Game of thrones series, read by Roy Dotrice to be very entertaining.

His accents DO wander around a bit though, i.e:- A major character started off sounding Lancastrian in book 1, but had become a full blown Welshman by book 2/3.

Good listen in spite of though.

I did go to the trouble of googling for people with back to front bums, sadly I suspect none of the results can be posted/linked to from here without getting me banned.(probably)

Roads here seemed fine until suddenly five of us all came off within the space of a few moments, it was like watching a strike in 10 pin bowling. We all went down hard. Fortunately the only thing broken was a mech hanger. To quote Homer Simpson “Oww my ass!”

IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey is hands down the best IMHO. In spite of the name there is lots of wizzing about the white cliffs of dover in a Spitfire. Don’t take my word for it though, there is free demo somewhere on xbox live.

    Hi argee,

    For your map orientation press:-

“Menu” –> “spanner” button at bottom –> “System” –>

“Map” –> then “Orientation” this gives you the map options for “North up, Track up, or Automotive mode”

    Hope this helps.

You can just press (for a couple of seconds) on the “box” you want to change, and a menu comes up.

I’ve got the invalid email address also. Going by the CRC facebook page it’s a common issue at the moment.

I wonder how much lost business this latest cock up has cost them……

No snow at Dalby at the mo’, I rode it on Saturday. The red was grippy and fast, cold and windy riding the top fire road bit though.
