Ah I have not allowed for servicing and mots. Price is £93 per month, car is currently still worth 2k so we could say £76 per month. Compare that to the £400 focus example posted above that is a saving of £38,880 !!!

Last car cost 7k owned for 10 years, with two major repairs = 1.3k. So £69 a month + I still have a car (trend is cheaper each year)

Armchair heroes who have watched too many movies.

They stopped the attacker quickly, everyone did their job incredibly well. Be thankful for these people.

We inherited a couple of drupal 7 sites. They need endless updates and module patches, until they stop being developed and then it all starts falling apart. To get one tiny function you have to install 5 modules all dependent on each other. Well established modules have known bugs that go unfixed for months.

The back end UI is horrible and hard for clients to learn.

    We use craft & modx.

We pay £87 water and waste. Currently battling southern water, was paying £130 a month.

drupal devs charge a huge premium because it such a pain to work with, few can bother.

never considered square taper – is it easy to fit / remove ? cheap and reliable are my main requirements.

Why a triple, can you not convert double’s ?

Ok, but for all intensive purposes they are self employed. The freelance journalists will all be avoided NI

Everyone I know self employed takes a salary at the threshold and then take a dividend – so no national insurance is paid…

is microbore 10mm plastic? if so any larger and we will need to cut channels anyway.

yes currently – there is no void in the downstairs rooms. There are floorboards over a concrete base.

I vote for copper where you can see it plastic where you can’t.

So you can join plastic up to copper ? i.e up to the rads from the floor

I did it without unsupported with a saddle bag, top tube bag & two water bottles. I had some food left over at the end.

Honestly packed **** lunch is not going to get you a house 8 x AVG salary. The buy to let generation has a lot to answer for

It’s not about working hard and not spending. Home owners just happened to be born at the right time. It is much harder for young people now.

Try saving when your rent is half your salary, goes up each year and greedy landlords force you to move.

We have a old thermostat so I assumed the nest could use its wiring? Otherwise I guess you buy the stand and put it on a surface somewhere.

Thanks for the info. I have seen the Worcester wave and tried the app – nest looks a lot more modern and I think is more likely to be developed

ah I see so I the light switches are probably ok to buy any, but I need double insulted celling lights.

I am getting an electrician to install, just wanted a rough idea.

    g5604

The switches are on wood at the moment.

So I need to look for switches with plastic back boxes – can the face plate be metal?

    g5604

Same here. I went ahead and put metal fittings in anyhow (not switches though) and I’m just double careful if I ever need to touch them.

Lights are ok as you can get double insulated, but does not seem to be any switches made for no earth.

I thought this might be the case, but it only £100 more than the 34cdi – would it not be worth it for higher water rate and extra capacity if we want to add another bathroom? I have a large boiler cupboard so space there is not an issue.

I think it is legal – but I am supprised. Other properties everything was done through the DPS and we even got interest

Well after many phone calls etc, disputing many different claims.. they are withholding £100 to paint over the foam bathroom tiles.

The won’t put anything in writing or go through the dps. I have opened a dispute. Interestingly they do hold the deposit as the scheme is an insurance backed one. They also missed the 10 day deadline.
