Way too early to even think about this.

yes, road biking is boring – I only enjoy the coffee shops and the stupid clothes people wear.

I’m not sure you have given this enough thought.

When they take over the roads, I am going to ride in the middle of the road all of the time. I am guessing they will not go round me?

I got 3k out of my last chain, never bothered cleaning it only replaced because it had stretched so much I could not move it any further back in the horizontal dropouts. With single speed you can get away with very little care

Fold the quick link so it is vertical on one of the front chainring teeth, then give it a little tap with a mallet.

The women only compartments on UK trains worked fine until they were phased out in 1977, as did the women only waiting rooms in train stations. I can’t see why this would be less practical and enforceable.

Pretty sure more people are using public transport now…If they split my commuter train between men and woman (it’s only two carriages) I would not even get a place to stand.

Wheels first – but have you thought about getting fitter?

Your joystick should be fine, too many people run silly lumens that blind driver’s and pedestrians

    Surely completely impractical and unenforceable?

So far my two kids have never used tablets or phones. My gut reaction is they stifle creativity.

At least the computers we had you could take apart and see how they work (hardware and software)

I am really baffled by the appeal of this – is it not really boring following 1000 steps? Are these “adult” style kits harder to put together or do they just require a lot more patience?

    thanks both.

I finally removed it by putting the wheel cog face down and hitting it from behind with a mallet + screwdriver

yes, one spacer each side of the cog.

how do you remove the freehub?

What a very unscientific way of confirming that wheel size makes little to no difference.

The original was designed to be affordable – the vitra one is just a copy anyway.

They sent me the wrong size tyre, took ages getting back to me then said I would have to post it back to them and wait for confirmation etc… pretty annoyed as I paid for next day delivery.

Finally spoke to someone who said they could send out the new tyre first – bit miffed about the fuss I had to make as I have spent many £££ with them.

If you are tall it takes longer for blood to reach the brain – so you feel faint more quickly.

    Hmm…

makes sense to me, you heart also has to pump harder to get the blood higher. When you faint it is because you body wants you to be horizontal to get blood to your brain.

If you are tall it takes longer for blood to reach the brain – so you feel faint more quickly. I passed out 3 or 4 times (once down a flight of concrete steps) before this was explained to me. I now never drink alcohol without a glass of water and a full stomach. I am also really conscious of hot environments (gigs / pubs etc) as this has been a factor every time.

I already eat more than anyone I know, so that was not the problem for me, but sounds like it might be for your son.

drives me nuts too. My mother-in-law can’t take out my son without buying him at least one gift, nearly always something that she knows I would not approve of.

Usually a pretty good mix. I am certainly not in the “whippet” class that’s for sure!! More of an event for people to enjoy than a competition for elite racers.

thanks! just what I was hoping.

not sure what you mean the crank arm length does not cause an compatibility issues. You probably would not notice the difference if you change either way by 5mm.
