I’m 6’2″ and riding a Large Meta SX. Perfect for me with a 50mm stem and I have a long body and arms.

No comb or brush and I have a lot of hair.

IMHO your mate’s weird for having a comb – is he the Fonz? ;-)

hmmm, I see what you mean. I can’t work it out, but as it means I’ve got 16th in our mini-league I ain’t complaining ;-)

Coming 2nd in a WC DH race whilst suffering from a bad bout of flu – respect to Rachel

Don’t they get points for the qualis too? Maybe that explains the scoring?

Running one up front with a HD out back. Very impressed – feels slightly slower rolling than HD I had previously on the front but grip is fantastic. Running TS compound in Super Gravity carcass tubeless.

    I love Dirt.

I love having a print bike mag that I can read on the bog or on the odd train journey sans kids.

It’s the only print bike mag that deals with the subject matter I’m interested in in the way I feel about it – other mags are advertorial yawn-fests that deal with the subject I love (bikes) in a way that removes the passion.

Dirt website is puss though ;-)

Dirt magazine is awesome, but I stopped using their website some time ago as it’s sooooooooo slooooooooooooooooow.

FWIW, I looked at a Tuareg a few years back and I couldn’t work out why a car that was so big on the outside was so small on the inside…

i’ve had one for a few months – good to see that iPlayer is now available.

For streaming films from the Play store and the odd YouTube flick it’s been great. I can see it becoming a very powerful tool as more apps become Chromecast-aware. Looking forward to watching the DH on Red Bull TV when the season starts (although live streaming isn’t supported at the mo).

BTW, I find in-app performance from Android devices better than Chromecasting a Chrome tab on a Windows PC.

cracked on downtube and chainstays – orange replaced both under warranty (after a bit of a conversation). Bike’s long gone – was pinched 18 months ago.

    but it was green, curiously….

Good call – I went into my LBS armed with a packet of cookies, helped a lot :-)

Mine were impossible to get out. Turned out the frame was cracked in both front and rear triangles which didn’t help….

IIRC it’s a warranty item within a certain (probably expired now) timeframe. Take the frame to where you bought it and they may do the bearings gratis.

I asked the same question when I had a Blood – I couldn’t get them out! Ended up taking to LBS.

Having used both extensively, I’d go for a folding alu tagalong rather than a trailgator. I never found we rode and then unhitched, it was more ride unhitched or ride hitched.

Trailgator shredded the headtube on fuzzhead jr #1’s bike despite keeping the headtube mount super tight.

It’s not about opening a can of whoop ass on the offending child, it’s making sure that the nursery are doing their job properly.
Making a complaint about your child getting injured in their care is not being OTT, especially if it prevents similar scenarios happening again to your child or any other.

If they gave you an accident form for something that didn’t happen/happened in a differnt way, that’s bad, very bad.

You need to take it up with the nursery manager – kicking someone in the head is very different to accidental head bump. They have a duty of care over your child and have failed.

    Try a Meta AM.
I’ve got a Meta SX (26″ wheels), have test ridden a Bronson – the Bronson is a bit mleh in comparison to the Meta, so if I was going to do the 650b thing I’d try the Commencal in addition to the ones you list.

@woody2000 – I’d use a sprung tensioner at rear sprocket

    fuzzhead

If it’s not skipping then it’ll be your chain tension – as mentioned above, it may feel OK in a static position, but under load and over bumpy ground you’ll get enough flex/movement to drop the chain.

I had this self same problem, fixed with a sprung tensioner.

Dropping chain under load is probably tension. I used to drop my chain a lot until I got a proper tensioner on the case (On-One Doofer).

Does it skip at all or just drop the chain?

I found out about the apple pips and cyanide thing recently when googling food to feed my son’s hamster. Apple pips would have been a big problem for the little furry guy (hamster, not son).
