I’d’ve thought Psylos if it weren’t for the post mounts. Maybe older low-end Marzo or more niche, like White Brothers?

do you mean the spacers to move the caliper outboard? I used a bunch of washers before I tracked down the official Marz ones – you need 5mm of offset

Suspect it’s still breaking in (or was before I had to send it back under warranty) – so settings may well change + I suspect they’ll change anyways as the seasons change.

binned my RQ 2.2s in favour of Minion DHFs. The Minions roll faster, have better cornering grip – feel slightly more sketchy in the wet over roots, but I get on with them a lot better.

FYI, the RQs were Black Chili and the Minions are 60a 2.35s.

I think Gotama (and others) have it bang on.

I prefer Minion DHFs front and rear – roll quicker, work well in dry conditions & wet mud, clog a bit in sticky mud. Don’t seem to let go as quickly as HRs, but as already said, riding style, pressures, conditions all play a part.

Rocky Horror seems to have been a particular focus of the Stickman recently – logs, rocks and the jump at the top taken down. He/they seemed busy a couple of months ago, less so now?

Defy user here – you can switch data roaming off (think it’s off by default?) by toggling tick box; Settings – Data Manager – Data Delivery – Data Roaming

The new quarry section is ace fun – a great addition to the trails in Brizzle. Nice one Architrail dudes!

Having suffered a fairly saggy mid-stroke on the RP23 BV with XV can that came on my 2011 Blood, I swapped the XV can out for a standard volume can yesterday. A vast improvement – I was previously having to ride with the ProPedal on all the time to try and firm up the rear. No need for PP anymore, it feels a lot better and I can tell from the o-ring that I’m using “appropriate” amounts of travel instead of nearly bottoming on every hit.

i have a 2011 Blood – standard BB shell (can’t remember if it’s 68mm or 73mm, but deffo not 83mm) & 135mm hub spacing. Previous model years had the 83mm shell IIRC.

I’ve got one – excellently solid piece of kit :-)

I paid for the guys to assemble, took them about 1.5hrs from memeory, including installing ground anchors – I’d already built the concrete base

Did you get any of the cable-guide “hoops” from Orange when you bought the frame? I use these and no problems with shifting/kinking of my rear mech cable. They allow the cable to slide freely.

Cable routed along top tube and down chainstay on ’11 Blood FYI.

Had a bad off a few years ago – went OTB headfirst into ground at a rate of knots. Helmet peak shattered and took a 1cm wide gouge out of the bridge of my nose that couldn’t be stitched. But the rest of my head was OK, so I guess the helmet did (most) of it’s job very well.
    Giro Xen BTW.

Orange Blood? Similar idea to the Spitfire – 127mm rear travel matched with a 160mm fork up front with slack HA and low BB. Rocketship!

I’m 6’1″ and have a 17″ Blood – test rode a 15″ and it was way too small for me (too short). At 5’9″, a 15″ may be the way forward for you. A demo may the way forward if you can organize one – any Orange dealer can get a demo shipped down for you I think.

I have one – it is light and has good coverage, but as said previously the retention isn't a patch on Giro, Fox etc. Would recommend a Fox Flux or Giro Xen instead.
