sorry, wrong end of the stick. One of the benefits of being a contractor is no more performance review!

I bought a Blood instead of a Five, haven’t looked back. Let my heart rule my head, fantastic decision :-)

play it by ear, sometimes best to stop and wait for a while to give em room (beginners, families, big groups).
    it’s a bike ride, you’re at a trail centre, what’s the rush?

Bent’s done in, Keane’s back in the US, Zog’s out for a month

oh and McLeish is in charge

    we’re doomed!

With Reina suspended & Carroll having chosen the path of the non-scoring striker, Villa should beat them. But they way they played against Arsenal makes you want to cry – just try and score FFS!

We need to unleash the Heskey, they’ll be quaking in their boots! ;-)

TBH i think it’ll hinge on the Liverpool game this weekend – Liverpool are there for the taking at the moment – even Wigan & QPR beat Liverpool recently

As a Villa fan I’ve been worried about this for a couple of months given their form. Selling their best players and bringing in McLeish meant this season was always going to be tricky…

+1 for O’Neal. The SaasTec/VPD stuff is tougher than the d30 stuff, no?

we call one of the trails in LW “Chris’s crack” – no end of hilarity; “i rode Chris’s crack really hard today”, “Chris’s crack was dry and lovely”, “Stay away from Chris’s crack as it’s too wet” etc etc

    :-)

It’s interesting how some of the names are pretty much universally known/used – Picnic Bench, Knicker Trail, Rocky Horror – despite being ridden by different groups. Is it because these are more recognisable, rather than “you know, the bit near the holly bush next to the dog turd tree”?

“Unitard” ;-) Some young fella was working on it last year during the summer months IIRC

“Bluebells” sounds like what we call “2 Streams”

So by “Don’t look down”, you mean what’s now part of Yer Tiz? You used to hook off to the right to do some DH?

Not sure where you mean by “don’t look down” or “route 41”. We don’t have a name for the one near Knicker apart from “the one near knicker that’s not quite as gnarly” ;-)

i think there were some decent frame-only offers on Scott Voltage FRs on t’interwebz. Coastal Crew seem to go alright on theirs!

I’m running mine on a Blood – someone was selling a frame on here yesterday I think and there’s an offer online somewhere too.

The Patriot 66 would be worth a shot seeing as you already have the frame.

    In no particular order:
    Lay off the brakes
    Practice your cornering
    Ride more (!)
    Practice riding with more flow
    Look further down the trail
    When you ride, batter yourself
When commuting, sprint in between each set of lights
    Do squats

+1 tracknicko – that’s exactly what mine does when the screen gets even a bit moist; has a complete fruit until i buff the screen gently and convince the phone it’s in a warm, dry, safe place with people that love and care for it deeply

I’ve got a Defy. It’s definitely rugged (dropped, kicked, crashed and if you get it muddy you can rinse it under the tap), but it’s a bit laggy and the touchscreen seems to have a mind of it’s own sometimes.
Battery life is so-so, obviously using the GPS chews through it quicker.
