Can’t see how 3.2mm will make such a significant change
    Another markerting ploy?

I had the Fox ones you have pictured and while they were good with decent ventilation they were noticable on longer rides with some bunching behind the knees which became annoying, sold them and bought the new raceface ambush ones which are better in my opinion also can be put on and taken off without removing shoes which is good for varied terrain where there are long climbs mid trail.

After a bit of research think I’ll opt for the forcefield one, cheers.

Always have my eka knife with me when camping or caravanning but not on the trails instead carry my trusty leatherman purely for the pliers. Anyone carrying a knife as a weapon seriously needs looking at (as stated in post above) :D

fuzzhead the Nukeproof one is certainly good value but looks very wide across the shoulders, may just visit the crc shop in Belfast and have a closer look and a try on, cheers.

rockhopperbike like the look and spec of the forcefield, one to seriously consider have you used it on 2-3hr rides

Heard of a young guy who came off where I ride, he went backwards down the trail hit a tree with his back and was instantly paralysed, very sad. My mate also came off and struck a rock and was taken off for a cat scan with suspected paralysis, thankfully he was ok . So I’m considering a comfortable back protector.

Went from three to one (1 stolen) now I just have a 2013 Bandit, with a spare set of wheels and tyres and some necessary spares in the event of breakages, it does everything amazingly well! Still does not stop me desiring another hardtail but with the indecision over wheel size and the lack of tyres for 650b, I have for the moment decided the 1 bike I have is fine.

I’m 5’11” and run a large I’m in N. Ireland and bought blind all be it a quick run on one in Wales( around the car park) and along with the reviews and the geomtry was sold and did not regret it at all. Perhaps some of the forum users who have a bandit will give you a run if your close to them. The review on pinkbike is very true to the mark and not gushy like some bike reviews from certain journalists. The bike in a word is “playful” and a hoot to ride!

opinion here is that those that have had both the Lev and the reverb seem to prefer the ks Lev. Anyone prefer the opposite?

For more natural trails try tollymore in Newcastle or Bigwood just outside Newry these are “natural” trails and not your trail centre groomed trails as in Rostrevor and Castlewellan (those trails are awesome but can be very crowded especially at weekends)

Fsr Expert with the brain, good but heavy, my bandit comms in at 27lbs next upgrade is a ks lev.

I have noticed a lot of threads about reverb problems and not as much with the ks, I think the ks lev might be the better choice with no bleeding issues.

I have been fortunate to have a stumpjumper, and now run a bandit they are totally different, the bandit for me is better at climbing, more agile and responsive on singletrack and perhaps not as stable on the downs but it feels quicker, perhaps due to the new ctd kashima shock and short chainstays. I have also ridden the blur, but in the end chose the bandit in a 2013 frame option and built it up. You won’t be disappointed with the bandit.

+1 for odi troy lee grips, superbly designed and work superbly aswell, I suffer from pins an needles due to low potassium and these have alleviated this problem immensely, highly recommended.

Run this on my bandit and set it at 25% sag in trail mode with the correct psi for my weight found it a bit soft so just added 5psi at a time while out on the trail until it felt great once set it works flawlessly
