Simple answer to all this is
Just ordered the Solarstorm head unit £13
    Battery from Torchy 34.99
Charger for £9 from Adam at http://www.bikelightsuk.com (UK plug and CE Certified with 12 month warranty)

    All in £57.00 I think that’s a Bargain!
I suppose the proof will be in a few months if its still running.

If you have any concerns then don’t buy it!

I spoke to Torchy today and this is the battery that he recommended
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fluxient-6600mAh-7-4v-battery-with-pouch-compatible-with-Magicshine-Xeccon-etc-/290996988596?pt=UK_SportGoods_CyclAcces_RL&hash=item43c0c5aab4
I would say Smudge of MTB Batteries will have something compatible also.
Perhaps he will post a link to a compatible one.

Northwind think I’ll do the same, buy the light as is and then get a custom battery made by Torchy.

As was quoted to me from a contributor here ” sod the bikes weight shed the pounds in body fat!”
But I ran a new set of wheels on pro2 evo hubs ad tubeless tyres, made a big difference.

We locals call that slog “heartbreak hill” but worth it for the downs, I ride both and Rostrevor is better IMHO. Castwellan is a great run for fitness your never off the cranks!

Also the bonus of bigwood is that there is not a lot of climbing, but you are on the pedals the whole time, it is a relatively short ride 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. but you can nip in and repeat some of the fast twisty bits

Northwind, kilbroney has a load of “off the trailcentre” trails, also on the way to kilbroney there is a super place called bigwood which held one of the recent enduro rounds and it is all natural trails with berms jumps etc and no manicured Kitty litter in sight. Trailbadger should behave some info on bogwood, Glynn O’Brien designed the bigwood course and I think he does accompanied runs also.
