I hope to get some off road riding later in the year so I think I’ll be glad of the hydraulics. So will have the trp hd’s up for sale and the shifters.

    Cheers all.

I’ve just read the reviews on the fearless and it looks a right bargain. Only I own my Vaya I’d buy one, the Ivory Frameset with tan bartape and seat with tan wall tyres would look lovely

Didn’t really matter there was no intention to abuse anyone’s discount, went into branch and they were happy to oblige 15% discount so all good and no one offended. 😀

I run my Salsa Vaya like this

    1. Hope pro 4 on Wtb Sti25 650b with Soma Cazadero tyres for gravel/off road and tarmac in between.

    2. Hope pro 4 on WTB Sti25 700c with Paris Roubaix 32 tyres for the roads

Had toyed with selling the 650b wheels but going to run two sets. With having the same hubs it’s an easy change over.

I’d consider Hope Pro 4’s with your rim of choice. Bombproof quality with legendary warranty.

There’s a PSA of 30% off at Wildcat Gear
    I’d buy this

And a tapered drybag from alpkit

I prefer to ride with no bags on my person, at thenorthwind I’m not sure a frame bag would take my evernew pasta pot

Have opted for a handlebar harness and drybag, this gives me more options relating to the items I can carry and also if it presents itself gives me the opportunity to use for an overnighter.

    Cheers all for the input.

It’s for my gravel bike while out on all day rides so don’t fancy riding on and off road with a backpack

I’ve an evernew titanium pasta pot, spork and a Soto has stove and canister. I have a down jacket which compresses well then just basic tools and two tubes.

Good point about the seatbag stability when not full, I think the handlebar harness and drybag might be more practical, easily removed from harness mid ride for a brew etc.

Oh and my soon to be built 700c wheelset with Specialized Roubaix tubeless tyres for those fast road days

I’m running 650b on my Salsa Vaya and love them with Soma Cazadero 42’s. But having a set of 700c wheels built and intend to run Specialized Roubaix tubeless on them for fast tarmac only days. Looking forward to a comparison in the two
