I would suggest that sprocket is a nice ‘woody ‘ word while ‘cog’ is rather tinny.

i did remove the fork leg stickers as i have an irrational hatred of flashy graphics/stickers on bikes.

But what about them there Schwalbe Nobby Nic logos? Can’t you go over them with a black ink marker?

Why don’t you just sing while riding along. Cheaper and safer and also warns other bridleway users of your impending arrival :D

Not strictly ‘sports cars’ but both are quite quick. Can I claim double points for two cars and then double up for the bikes?
    (btw the 159 is a 3.2 Q4 and that’s Mrs Fruitbat’s Punto Abarth))

The Guinea Pigs we had were awful pets all the good stuff we were told about them (much of it repeated above) was apparently nonsense. Maybe ours were not typical though.

My vote for easy care pets goes to Stick Insects. The ones we had (possibly Indian Stick Insects) were able to breed without mating so there was an endless supply of the things.

Care regime consists of adding a fresh bit of Privet Hedge into their tank occasionally.

Some information here – Stick Insects thing[/url]

Clearalex screen wash powder sachets (best stuff ever).

Upper Cylinder Lubricant (Redex) dispensers on the forecourt.

Toughened windscreens (the ones that show a dotted pattern when looked at with Polaroid glasses).

Hand signals (at least not the rude type!).

Have you tried changing the ‘Locate Zone’ and the ‘Intent Zone’ values within the Cursor Tab in Intellisketch? Might be worth a try.

When you say “I have the vertical and horiz lines coming from the mouse pointer”, what do you mean. I’ve been using Solid Edge for 13 years and can’t imagine what you mean.

I’ve got a Patent but unfortunately (or maybe thankfully) my company got the whole thing done through a patent attorney (it’s an American company I work for).

Much of the magic appears to be in how the thing is written. Having tried to read the published work, I have difficulty understanding it!

The whole process has put me off attempting to do it myself (if I ever have another good idea!).

Does it fully cut out? Or does it just go very dim?

Mine have had this problem, I just fiddled about with the tailcap switch and got them working again.

It completely cuts out but it goes back on again as soon as the switch is pressed.

    I shall perhaps email troutie.

I’m a bit biased here I have been running a Bravo 150 T-Jet Sport for 3 years and it’s really very good. Reliability has been OK in my opinion – gear cables have been replaced twice due to water contamination (it freezes up in winter and you can’t change gear!).

I know it’s not exactly comparable with the diesel model you’re considering but dynamically it will be similar. There are no creaks and groans, contrary to most folk’s expectations.

As for the Fabia with a 3 cylinder diesel – surely that’s going to vibrate your teeth out!

    Try a duck call.

Whilst mincing along the canal path recently, I saw some ducks swimming along and thought I’d say ‘hello’ to them using the duck call that I normally use to warn walkers of approaching bikes.

The daft blighters seemed to dislike my call and promptly scarpered.

Going to get flamed on this but….Alfa 156 GTA 3.2V6 at that budget would get a very nice one, best sounding engine note by far and not very common.

I’m with bigbloke here. Alternatively what about my current steed, an Alfa 159 3.2 Q4 – automatic versions are extremely rare though and probably out of budget.

If you need more room an Alfa 166 3.2 would be well within budget – just need to add some Koni dampers to sort out the handling.

My riding chum shot this on an ipod nano (5th gen) strapped to a piece of hardboard attached to his backpack.

To those offended by the the music just remember he’s 63!

I thought the result was remarkable for such a simples setup.
