    Popliteal Fossa?

/vaguely remembered anatomy from helping my OH revise for exams

Well that must have been invented since Vivian Stanshall’s seminal work, Sir Henry at Rawlison End.

I used to work as forecourt attendant in a service station. I once served Bob Crampsey with the more expensive of the two 3-star petrols on offer. He was not happy at having to pay a wee bit more than he was used to.

I’m currently renovating this 1954 Colchester Student

It’s not that small really. I got it from work for free (had to pay for transport though!). When you see what people ask for bits on eBay I figured I had nothing to lose.

I play badminton. I do all my own car maintenance and have renovated several in the past.

I once served Bob Crampsey with 3 Star petrol (yes, it was a long time ago).
He was a bit miffed as I gave him the more expensive of the two 3 Star options.
He did not drive a diesel – mind you, hardly anyone did back then.

I had severe jaundice about 15 years ago. Turned very very yellow skin, yellow eyeballs, floaty, light coloured poos, dark brown wee wee, very very itchy all over, knackered.

Off work for 6 weeks. Had various tests including ERCP.

Treatment was just to give my liver a rest by not eating any fatty stuff or any other stuff that’s processed in the liver.

The docs never found the cause but likely an infection caught while in hospital for the snip.

There once was a very famous man
On his famous horse he’d ride through the land
The people used to see him everywhere
When he died they put a statue in the square
    Hooray –
Here comes the equestrian statue prancing up and down the square
Little old ladies stop and stare saying – “Well I declare”

Once a month on a Friday there’s man
With a mop and bucket in his hand
For him it’s just another working day
So he whistles as he rubs and scrubs away
    Hooray –
Here comes the equestrian statue prancing up and down the square
Little old ladies stop and stare saying – “Well I declare”

It’s a sight to bring you joy you feel so gay
And it’s guaranteed to brighten up your day, if it’s grey

I’m 59 today :D Mrs Fruitbat was 57 in January. We both cycle off-road at least once a week. I play badminton twice a week. Mrs Fruitbat does a Pilates class once a week.
We both feel younger than our friends who are in their forties! :D

Why is there no great debate among motorists about the ever increasing trend to bigger wheels with ever lower profile tyres on cars?
Mostly driven by marketing and image – just like bikes.

    Thanks all for the input.

Isn’t the redundancy notice concern a bit irrelevant as if you are employed for over 12 years the company needs, by law, to give 12 weeks notice anyway?

I’ll be giving any contracts/agreements a thorough read before signing anything.

@hot_fiat – yes that’s Mrs fruibat’s APE – a fine machine as is my 159 3.2 Q4. Running the latter would benefit from the benevolence of the aforementioned Domenico Rancadore!

    I nominate my Alfa 159 3.2 Q4 Lusso
    Why?
It is quite rare (certainly rarer that the Ti models).
It has quite a good turning circle (11.1m)!
It is stupidly expensive to run.
It is very nice to drive.
If it became a classic maybe somebody would buy it.

Falkirk area – (stop sniggering at the back!) we ride on the Callendar Estate trails Callendar Est every week and we’re central for other more extreme MTB venues. There’s plenty of horse riding in the area too judging by the amount of ordure on the trails 8O
Plenty of road riding to be had too.

fruitbat, are you sure that faces flat
    Posted 1 week ago # Report-Post

Yes I think it is. The tool now has the addition of a pack of bellville washers to provide the axial load.

I made a BB facing tool so that my new go faster Hope BB has the best chance of a long life.
Currently it uses hand pressure to do the cutting but it’s quite hard work so I might try and incorporate a spring to assist.
I got an old end mill from work and mounted it on a shaft and made a handle to suit. An aluminium bearing tube sits in a cut down external BB cup on one side and a square taper internal BB lock ring at the other.
