Funn BOB Fatboy running on the FS currently. Lightweight, wide as and just right – highly recommend

I havn’t got one (yet) although I do like to chuck my bikes about.
I ride a medium Reign X so the smaller frames are always appealing; although on flat sections and uphill I could do with a larger frame, pointing down im glad its smaller
Guess it depends on the kind of riding you will mostly be doing?
Oh and I do have a longer torso, shorter legs scenario (sound like a Freek)

Do alot of XC on my blue pig no problem, build with a fork which has lockout and away you go.
Can easy keep up with FS mates on the downhills.
It feels light to me, then im used to dragging a 35lb FS round the trails too.
Super adaptable and grin inducing

Park at the bottom on the grass (not in the car park), take the left fork in the road, head up the fireroad until you see a rock garden on your right, push up the trail to the left.. have fun

Felt like sacking it off but perservered, well worth it despite the winds and rain, no-one around, felt great to be battling winds on the top of a mountain with the added fear of been blow off the thing sideways.
30Km (felt like 50km with the winds)
Days spent like these in adverse conditions with old friends make me smile.

Found myself getting strangley addicted to watching that crap but mainly to laugh at fat Amercians cheering on another fat Amercian eating to bursting point.

Avoid run flat tyres on the smax, cost me a fortune

Passportes newbie here – some great info on my thread from a couple of days ago

Gatwick Express to Victoria 35mins
Victoria to Paddington Tube Circle line 7 stops 30mins
Heathrow express from Paddington 15 mins

Reliable as express trains run every 30mins from gatwick and every 15 from paddington

Great advice guys.
We were planning to go for 4 or 5 days, which would cut into riding time if we drove,
I do like to go prepared with all the back up gear, spares etc though so it is appealing.
Looks like a better option to take the Giant Reign XO, I could slim her down to under 35lbs too.
Other guys have an SWorks stumpjumper and a SC VPFree so a real mixed bag.
The guys want to camp but judging by the feedback i’d say a jaquzzi at the end of the day is a godsend as is a real bed!

Is it best to start in a smaller resort to avoid queues etc?
Or is Morzine the one for general atmosphere, craic?
