Yes wl but I happily put mine on a slimline iphone5 safe in the knowledge that its protected, also had a big off recently and landed on my back full weight on the phone in the pack pocket again no damage
You get use to the bulk tbh and can always remove for non hazardous activities
I take my 6 year old boy biking @ Afan green / blue trail and skills loop, local bmx tacks, local singletrack etc etc my 4 year old is riding now too :-)
For Floats put in a round 10psi less than recommended
I run mine at 75 and I’m 16 stone giving me around 15-20% sag.
Rebound fairly fast at 7 clicks in
low speed compression 8 clicks in (holds up the front nicely in turns etc)
high speed compression 0-3 clicks in depedning on terrain and XC to DH
Rear cant advise apart from slower rebound than front as now running a ccdb air with infinate adjustments
chillidave – i had to send the whole bike back as refused to take it apart having built it up the week previous.
Same as you perfectly good drivetrain, the said they had never heard of the issue and when they looked at it they moved the front mech down and said the hitting the chainstay wont effect the integrity of the frame!
i asked them to change their literature to refelect the issue and advise new customers to run 10 speed gearing.
ive put a carbon patch over the chainstay where it hits as a stopgap – nice on a new frame
now moving to 1×10 as want to run a chainguide and be done with it – adding another £300 to the “cheap” frame
mail me if you need more info – id be interested to hear their feedback to you
I had issues with my V3 (December 12) not being able to run a 2×9 set up without the front mech hitting and gouging out the chainstay when set up correctly, on one had the bike back and said it should be run with a 1 or 2 x10 to elimnate this problem – obviously nowhere in the bumf does it mention this. Also no way to run a double chainguide with this set up – not great
The bushes went in the shock after one ride and the bolt in the pivot came loose too
Add to this a shit paintjob which had cable rub after one ride.
HOWEVER
The bike rides sweet, the ccdb is amazing botomless on every drop, jump and even the odd pedal strike doesnt matter as the bike makes me smile everytime I ride her.
As for On-Ones customer service its definately contradictory and slack but as the old adage says you get what you pay for or not as the case may be
Quick tip – When the fork is serviced by mojo through lbs they generally put a sticker around the fork steerer, take the fork out of the headtube and check it out, should be date plus lbs name
Had a great night ride last night, loads of big gap jumps, drops and fast rooty stuff all good until…
Last descent of the night saw a rut too late over the bar, landed on my head, thanks to Urge and Poc I came off with badly bruised ribs and a bit of whiplash, could have been so much worse.
Funny though felt I was due a big off been a bit cocky
of late
Reminds me how fragile we really are, hope your mate has a speedy recovery
Never been shouted out, but once had a bunch of chavs drive past in a corsa and launch a McDonalds milkshake at me, it was strawberry flavoured
I’ve had the same Strawberry MCD Milkshake thrown over me too – must be something too sweet for the chavs to finish it
Cycling home near bonfire night years ago had a firework fired from a plastic down pipe hit my helmet and melt a bit out shocked the hell out of me – pesky kids
I also now avoid USC as this starts to look more like Sports Direct everytime I pass it. I do wonder how long the likes of Diesel will continue to supply USC now Ashley owns them?
They are the biggest Diesel mens account so not going anywhere fast.
Also for your info Mike Ashley also owns Cruise clothing as well as Van Mildert so becoming hard to avoid dealing with in the Fashion Industry and TBH its good to finally have some prompt payments!
As a side note Primark owned by the same Canadian company that owns Selfridges hence Primark jeans will be sold in Selfridges.
@gsp All good here – Some seriously good trails in South Wales – when are you and the crew coming? bummer on the broken arm, are you doing the PDS or just going for the crack?
Thinking Andorra or Austria for my trip this year
