I would not reccomend saddle up for DH Cwmcarn or FOD, even if you intend to stay on the ground, you will get bucked!

Yes roadwarrior I have had them on a couple of bikes now – very grippy, thin and ok weight, no issues with bearings as yet

Only thing is my current fs El Guapo has a low bb (13″) and I do still have pedal strikes I am running 175mm cranks though

Having had a few differentpairs of flats, I cannot reccomend the Exotics enough in terms of quality vs price vs weight vs look etc etc

b45her you’re right Skyline was in my head not the combo W2, thanks

wrecker depends how long you want to session it for surely.

Spent a day just at the bike park a few weeks back

Park at the bike park, follow signs for Gwylfi bike park (on the other side of the valley to afan usual car park)left turn about 1/2 mile back from Afan.

You can then session new section and bike park and ride down final descent on the Wall then ride back up wall to Car

Being fresher for the bike park session

make sure you do Whites @ Glyncorwg new final descent is a blast (still a bit loose in places so watch yourself)

    Enjoy

Wouldn’t bother with W2 as there are loads of diversions and extra fire road loops

The real revelation for me is no more lost momentum of changing up and down on front mech, ending up in the right gear for a change = flow

clutch mech is silent combined with front amg guide is a dream

I moved from roof to tow bar mounted when I changed car
Notice a real difference in fuel consumption
Far less faf getting the bikes on and off
    More secure
    No height issues

Yes you have to shell out initially for tow bar etc but worth it in the long run, would never go back to roof mounting

Down here in South Wales there is no snow. It’s bloody cold, mind, but there is no sign of the white stuff.

you haven’t been up Cwmcarn or Machen then

Always carry mine on a tow bar mounted rack, had both a new car with twin exhausts and an old Diesel with one smoking exhaust and still the only time my brakes are ruined is from the salt and grit from winter roads

Blaengarw is where its at for a dose of Rockyness in South Wales.
Rowan Sorrell has doen an amazing job with this short loop and bodes well for Gethin
As for Cwmcarn stick to the DH and the natural stuff
