We had great weather for the PPDS Last year then two days later it pissed down for the next three days Chatel bike park was slippery to say the least therefore – take a spare mud tyre for the front!

I live in Roath cannot recommend highly enough
we regularly walk into the city centre, we have great neighbours and community; amazing restaurants and shops
I ride out to Castell Coch / Garf / Caerphilly in 30mins
    2 mins to A48 / M4 too

I lived in London for 20 years and when we moved back we looked at North Cardiff and surrounding vale villages etc and although lovely we wanted a bit more of a cultural mix hence Roath

Also we are reminded that six-years ago we had twins who were not meant to survive pregnancy, but now charge about this world with such enjoyment, true wonder and endless curiosity.

Not many people are as lucky as we were

This makes me happy. So much stress and BS about in the world. Only have to look at my kids to know what matters

I have noticed that there is some yellow fluid leakage when reducing the air pressure without a shock pump – Is this what you are referring to?

They have made it somewhat easier by strategically placing rocks in some areas and giving a couple of different line options where there are the large slab drop offs

I did however meet two bikers (loose use of the term) coming down Darkside at speed last night, few choice words were exchanged!

New descent is fast as, just watch your speed as its still bedding in and there are a few sketchy corners

I had a titanium 2.2 diesel for a couple of years.

Yes the car is big and roomy but it was heavy and handled like a tank. Fuel consumption wasn’t great circa 35mpg combined and the front tyres wore down super quick (all that weight on the front)

It also had issues almost from new with the turbo which would make the engine billow smoke at motorway speeds and of course that classic plastic overdose on all trim of Fords

TBH put me off ever having a Ford again

Ride out on the taff trail to castell coch or the Garf or both
At least you have some gradient there and it adds a few miles to warm up / down

I ride there a few times a week and would happily show you the trails, mail me if your interested

I took my 2007 Reign X0 to the Alps last year, no issues whatsoever. In fact the only thing holding me back was the step up in riding and the fear and vertigo on some of the black runs (and chair lifts) 8O

Dual Ply tyres ideal both super tacky, Minion front High Roller rear
    loads of spare brake pads
    Full face and some padding

We drove so had plenty of spares – wheelsets / tubes / tools etc but as it turned out did not need any

We camped in Chatel for the PDS last year, small campsite, friendly but no open fires, they did have a swimming pool though,

only a pootle along the road from the bike park too

    Chatel Camping[/url]

might be full though as Chatel is the host for the PDS village this year
