mrblobby – dont bother calling the guy, just let your insurer deal with it all now.
Had the same experience pre xmas with the guy offering to sort it all off record and the call me later blah blah – just let the insurer do their job

Molgrips – Cwmbran was fine and clear this am – we had our storage stuff delivered to our new house in Cardiff from a company in Cwmbran and I was shocked when the massive Lorry turned up 45mins early – the lads on the truck said how much worse the snow in Cardiff was than Cwmbran, dont blame you for not bothering though :D

Just built a new hardtail with ‘hardcore’ appeal but will never replace the FS for the downs.
However given I now have options two hardtails and a FS; for general trail riding the new hardtail is the first choice – lighter and less maintenance for winter slop.
Coming back to MTB as you say after a long gap I would definately embrace the new hardtail options as first purchase

Good early feedback from my new Rockshox Sektor RL – 150mm travel but can be spacered down to 140 – its a 20mm bolt thru and as stiff as my Fox 36 RC2 plus cheap too!

I gave up smoking again at the beginning of the year funy ones as well, head couldn’t cope anymore as well as having two kiddies which help with the giving up.
Have replaced the need to ‘relax’ with the need to ride all good although i do find myself popping out to the shed to get my fix of my bikes more than i should :o

More props for Rothan – its just so right – they can get quite a speed up when pointed down hill so reccomend buying the back brake as we had a few over the bars and into walls incidents which i would rather forget!
My 4 year old has just moved onto pedals on a Cnoc 16 and the Rothan has passed down to his sister

Bought myself a EuroClassic G5 for three bikes once I changed over the car and have never loked back – no more hassle with roof mounted carriers – Can open the boot with the bikes mounted and the tow bar is detachable so all hides away – no need to worry about security they lock down to the tow bar and the carrier if using three bikes and I also add a krptonite lock for popping to services etc
a big outlay initially of cash but worth it so far and I can always swith over to using a trailer tent when I can afford

FYI UPDATE BELOW FROM SS AFTER I TRIED TO RETURN

Hello, normally when the pads appear too tight it is due to there being too
much fluid in the system from the last time it was bled or through moisture
absorption past the seals over time. The pads are all ground to the correct
thickness in the factory, and it is impossible to make them thicker than
    intended by accident.

Try putting the old pads in and push back the pistons and then open the
bleed valve to let the excess fluid out. Then it should all work fine.
Another thing which happens is the pistons or the bore corrodes and prevents
the pistons moving back fully. This is calliper service time and tends to
happen on bikes put on bike racks and driven down the motorway at 70mph
    gritblasting them.

I doubt there are any problems with the pads as this is the first report out
of several hundred sold. Any problems please let me know.

    cheers
