I have stayed in van by renting someones apartment for a week while they themselves take off on vacation. I.t seems quite common there, they must be a trusting people This could suit your needs. Check vancouvers craiglist, thats where i have always found accomodation before.

    Interesting points there gearz

I was thinking they cant be much worse than the other budget airlines, globespan seems particularly awful. I was worried about the bike but arent the handlers employed by the airports and not the airline?

I did the Minidh races earlier this year and they were £20 each, no uplift and the run was sub 60 seconds, you did get two timed runs as well as a few hours of practice, lots of runs too thanks to no uplift line ups. I dont think this represented good value really but the event was slickly ran and lots of fun, I think the main reason i did and it was so popular was that it happened it February & March and there isnt a lot of DH racing going on then and i was jonesing for some competition.

I think if you are planning it for lee quarry, with the rocky terrain there it would lend itself to a winter race series, although it would be a pretty cold exposed push up.

I also think a series would need to use different tracks or heavily different variants of the same one. Cannock Racers guild race on a different track each time which keeps it interesting.

If you want to stick to a Canadian brand you could look at the Chromag Stylus. i think the HA is 67 but can take a 160mm fork. Also have iscg mounts if that kind of thing is important to you. The new one is significantly lighter than the previous one too. Im not sure what the deal is with the new UK importer as the website is still not online yet

Whistler is a great place to travel with the girlfriend as there are so many other women that ride both the park and the valley. The bike park do womens only nights which are about 3 hours and a great deal Womens Wednesday its like $27 for a lift pass and lesson with beer and prizes at the end. They only run in the peak months when the park stays open later.

Look at this woman specific company they do skills camps in whistler a lot in the summer. Believe it or not Canadaian companies can offer excellent skills coaching and actually use qualified instructors where IME some tour operators just use good young riders who are cheap but not necessarily got good teaching methods

You havent really mentioned what kind of riding you enjoy, what your experience levels are what kind of budget you have, what bikes you are taking so its difficult to know what to advise.

If you are wanting to do the bike park thing then I dont really see the benefit of using a guiding company like T2r etc.. The bike park is well marked out and the maps really easy to follow. If you want DH skills

training then you could use the bike parks own guides which includes bike hire or my reccomendaton would be to use madmarchracing. This is ran by ex world cup downhiller Shaums March and he really knows his stuff. If you wanna do xc i can see some benefit in being guiding but really it is so well mapped and signed and there are some new good trail guides just published plus all the locals are mountain bikers and more than happy to help you out and point out the trails you should ride if limited on time. It all depends on how much you need you hand holding. I would not spend all week in the bike park as someof the trails in the valley are amazing. PHD, Bintys and Cheap thrills are my favourites

For me guiding companies are convenient but you do pay for it, much cheaper accomoadation can be found in whistler. Maybe you can afford this, I know i cant. T2r wanted me to pay £400 a week for a shared room, this was without guiding or transfers from airport. In the end for $800 i got my season pass and accomodation in employee housing. B&B’s also offer good value accomodation. Whistler mountain house would be my reccomendation, its ran by a year round local who is also a bike guide and 5 mins walk from the village.

As for outside oh whistler, pemberton squamish and vancouver all offer brillant riding and all quite different feel without having to spend too much of your holiday driving. Saying that kamloops is 4 hours away and has awesome trails of all types.

Also you will need some bug repellant as the bugs love fresh blood from abroad. The locals never seem to get bit half as much.

It is not supported, it works on Vista x64 but not 32bit. Minimum version for support on vista is v5r18 sp4.

    From IBM,

Support for Windows Vista x64 Enterprise Edition was introduced in CATIA V5R18 Service Pack 4, available in March 2008. Details on this support are provided in the Program Directory for CATIA V5R18 SP4.

I think All Terrain Cycles have some good deals on bontrager race lite wheelsets. They are probably around the weight you are after. Dirt had a positive review on them too this month

Suoer Tackys lasted me about 5 Days in Whistler Bike Park before they started doing that. They wear super fast especially in dry weather. I got about 30 days out of 3C minions but i dont think they sell them in the UK anymore

ive been out there in whistler for the last 3 seasons and in my opinion you really do not need to be guided. Whistler must be the most heavily mapped area you can go on a mountain bike. You can get maps froma ny of the bike shops there and there was a good trail guide book published last year. There are tons of trails in the valley that would keep you entertained for 2 weeks and they are all on the map and you can cycle to them all from the town. For accomodation I would reccomendhere[/url]. The guy who runs it is a local biker and will give you the lowdown on what isnt on the map if somehow you get bored with what is
I mean if you have the money and dont mind paying for it then go with a tour company but they are only going to take you to the same trails that are on the maps.
There are also numerous companys that will help you with skills in the bike park for the few days you may spend there, I would recomment Shaums March and his MMR camps. If you already have the skills to ride DH then again you dont need guiding as the trail guide and just talking to other riders on the lifts is all you need to make sure you ride the right trails for your level.

Yeah I guess that makes sense. Its just frustrating as i will end up just replacing it because of how long it will take to ship to/get back from SRAM canada.

I would go through the dealer but I bought the bike when i was living in Canada direct from the manufacturer. I dont want to have to send stuff back there.

Can i just take it to a fisher dealer then?
