As for sponsoring a fasting – it just seems a bit dumb. Raising miney for charity in a school environment should be about fun not walking around feeling tired and grumpy (anyone with kids will know how the little ones temprement changes when hunger strikes!).

I bet the school governors would go nuts if they found out as you can be it is not sponsored by the senior leadership team.

this whole ebay / paypal relationship is surely something for the monopolies commission to have a butchers at!

if you are now in £- then call your bank and tell them to block any paypal requests for money.

if you had fund to cover it then I would prepare yourself not to see it again!

still in dispute with paypal over a near identical situation.

like you I offered insurance but was told ‘non’, had proof of postage etc. Had a claim via paypal, they found in favour of the buyer (their policy) and drew down on my account putting me negative.

If I were you I would do the following:

1. empty your paypal account
2. remove the card details you have on line with them
3. be prepared to dig your heals in.

Have had loads of ‘we are trying to scare you’ mail but I have told them that if they want to discuss it I would be happy to in court with a judge and not a mindless paypal ‘computer says no’ clerk.

Problem is though is that your ebay account will be blocked. When mine was I started a new one but now the rules state that if you want an ebay account you MUST have a paypal account. So far I have had to ‘move’ ebay accounts a number of times but they always end up tracking you down!

As the £ falls to the Euro there will be a lot more Europeans wanting to buy goods from the UK and therefore will probably be a lot more unscurpulous (sp) people pulling fast ones.

The moral is to always insist on recorded parcels. If they arent happy with that then consider that a telling sign!

managed an hour and a half – it was brilliant but hard going in the snow which was 6 – 12″ deep all the way up to Houndkirk! 🙂

Suprisingly not that cold but snow still coming down nice and steady!

Managed to overtake 4 cars and a motorbike going up hill on the road out of Nether Edge! 😀

Knee and elbow pads on incase of snow-sky-snow-sky incidents but none – it just wasnt possible to go fast enough to truely bin it!

Loads of lovely virgin snow to pile down through, big wide carving – well worth it!

Now, wheres the Laphroig……. 😉

we rode Win Hill last night. went from drizzle to heavy rain to sleet to snow then we got into the cloud and it was blowing a gale!

Visibilty was very low.

Absolutely amazing ride, feel like I have been beaten up this morning!
